we are the perfect example of a club where money does not buy you greatness - I am assuming during the Moyes years many posters on here would of moaned about not having a top class striker and the boring style of play Moyes had - very solid and defensive.

Ever since money bags Moshiri has arrived hundreds of millions of pounds has been spent on players and we are still moaning about not having a top class striker and now the defense needs looked at.

I will be in the minority here but bring back the Moyes era anyday - solid results and a top 6-8 spot nearly guaranteed every year.

When Silva leaves the building ( hopefully soon) please take your mate Moshiri with you as from what I can see Moshiri and his advisors are going to eventually ruin and possible bankrupt this once great club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 'Silvas's' of this footballing world are relatively speaking 2 a penny mate, The Moshiri's are not!

{Ed025's Note - the trouble with everton fans is that they are never happy, "we need a billionaire" we get one then do nothing but moan, how fickle can you get?..

Agreed mate, much better to have no money, win no trophies and not beat any of the good teams away from home.

Oh and we wouldn't get top 8 under Moyes today.

{Ed025's Note - exactly swan..

Bankruptcy? Really?

30 Sep 2019 06:17:44
Correct. Very much in the minority. We had a billionaire invested for years and never saw a penny. Now we have a generous one we complained his money is ineffective. The guy is trying and spending. What is wrong with that?

We certainly would be top 8 under Moyes guaranteed.

It was back in day BCT, he would struggle in the here and now and that's not guesswork as clubs in the PL seem to agree with me .

30 Sep 2019 09:48:59
in todays league, our moyes era would be nowhere near the top 10 never mind top 6, we'd be the level of burnley.

30 Sep 2019 10:30:11
BCT sorry but top 8 under Moyes guaranteed statement is just ridiculous. Nothing in life with the exception of death is guaranteed. IMO things will improve when we get all the players are fit and the new players settle in. can't understand all the pessimism this early in the season to be honest.
