Not too long ago there were plenty on here saying we needed Rodwell back and to make him our captain at centre back.
People saying we should've threw our whole budget on Ryan Gauld.
Now people are saying we need Arteta as manager because he "knows the club", so does Phil Neville and David Unsworth. Apparently Arteta is a proven winner by being second in command under Pep. Which is not the same thing. "He's supposed to be a great coach" so is Marco! . We need a proven manager with a winning mentality.
If our ambitions are just to get all the old boys back in and have a big reunion, maybe get Anichebe as striker coach, Tim Howard as goalkeeper coach and hell, why not get Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady back in to be our fitness coaches.
If we have so little ambition as fans then we need to stop talking about top six or top eight. We need to accept that we are a forgotten club who are irrelevant. Why do we need to accept that? Because that seems to be what a lot of our fans want us to be.
We need to shut it down and become the next Newcastle if we haven't already.

I agree with a lot of what you say about fans expectations but we have texept where we are and stop thinking we can just leap to the champs league. Learn to walk before we run.

have to accept your place now sometimes, what top class winning mentality manager are you suggesting would come to everton? every manager has to start somewhere, if you were getting poch when he first started at southampton i think you would have shrugged your shoulders swan.
