The lack of imagination on here by some fans is truly astounding.
For God's sake Moyes. Bloody David Moyes. He has won absolutely nothing. He was here for ELEVEN years and won wait no hang on, he won, one, two, three, no, did he, nope did win, maybe, no, not that NOTHING - EVER!
You sound utterly crazy suggesting him.
Think bigger people. You're going on about Silva's CV (Which has a couple of trophies on by the way) yet this guy Moyes has nothing to show on his and he took over a title winning team. Oh and for good measure he couldn't muster a win against the big boys away in those ELEVEN years. He should have at least fluked one in that time.
Benitez is a better choice. Not that I want him either.
I'm hoping though we take our time and pick someone who can truly be inspiring. Not just for the team but also for the lunatics suggesting this absolute whollop of a manager.

Part of the problem is since Moshiri has come in we've bought players for a short term plan, then a long term plan but employed managers for a long term plan (Allardyce excluded) .
Moshiri now needs to decide whether he wants to go for the top 4/ 6 in the next couple of years or build for the next 3 to 6 years.
Our manager is young and naive and needs time to build a team/ plan and has shown that he is incapable of playing consistently well without all the correct pieces being in place and fit.
So if this is a long term plan Moshiri has to stick with Silva and carry on buying young emerging talent and take the pain in the short term.
If he wants to break into Europe and consistently stay there for the next few seasons he needs to employ someone like Mourhino or Rafa and spend another 200 million replacing the rest of the Koeman/ walsh buys.

You still think that super continental man can take us to champions league. Look where we are that is a couple of years away at best, for that and getting off the bottom is two different managers I am sure many will agree.

I recall Moyes winning Manger of the year on 3 different occasions for Everton Bluejohn.

There isn't an English manager out there who is showing they can match the foreign managers at the mokent so yes I would go for another foreign manager.

It beggars belief that some have still not seen through this 'young' Manager. He was just about never found out prior because he never hung around. He got us up to 8th in a full season, equal to Alardyce . So far after a on paper easy start, we are in the bottom 3 with on paper harder games to come. Should we win against West Ham some will hail him once again as the Messiah.

Wouldn't it be funny if brands was buying a type of player that would fit the manager he wants, rather than the one he got stuck with. I'm sure he will have biggest say in who is next if they ditch silva.

Smit666 you're spot mate with you assessment of our current position. if we want to go anywhere we need to give the manger sufficient time to change the squad and build a team that will be able to compete with the top sides. I personally think we should have given Koeman more time to get thing sorted. Silva is in the same postition as Koeman reasonable 1st season followed by early season struggles. Changing the manager at this stage of the season may cause more problems than solve anything.

Sa90, this one is an exception, he appears to be more stubborn than Martinez (a very good coach but not a Manager) . He stays much longer and we may be in a position of no recovery.

WBlue, I was referring to Bluejohn saying Moyes has won nothing at Everton, he has three manager of the years to his name.
Would have been nice had he landed us a trophy, but at least we had fighters in Moyes team, I know we have his gunfight comment and sour taste how he left us, but In those 11 years, you never felt worried about even finishing in the bottom half, let alone a relegation scrap.
It is just a shame Moyes never had the luxury of the spending power our Managers have enjoyed since.

For me it has to be Benitez, as for Moyes he brought us stability but it’s never good to return to a previous club, it just never seems to work out.
But some are rightly having a pop at the way he walked out of us for Utd, yet are calling for Arteta who left in similar circumstances, but shorter time to find a replacement.

Hey Nev. Moyes showed us what he'd do with money when he was at United.
I mean he had all that money and he comes to buy Fellaini off us.
That just typifies what he is like. All United's attacking flair and he wants to stick a big lump in the middle of the park.
Not forgetting him showing Rio Ferdinand videos of Jagielka and saying 'dont worry son I'll have you defending like this lad in no time'.
He can galvanise a team on a limited budget but no more than that.
