It is an enigma Skylark but let's hope we can kick on now.
Winning the next 2 games and things would look a lot rosier but we are away next time and these players need to perform like that week in week out to be the best.

Watched the game and loved it. Gomez was awesome as was Digne. In fact they all played well and nice to see young Tom in midfield. He always brings a dynamic to the game that he tries to keep it moving. Not all flicks and passes come off but he keeps it moving and we play better when moving with pace. Thought Walcott had a great game and looks like we have finally found Siggies best position. SUBSTITUTE lol. But we have to kick on from here and like Smit says week in week out. So Marco looks to maybe have a stay of execution this weekend. I hope so.

Good post Nick and yes. if the 11 put in a performance like that week in week out we would be a top team.

Great performance.
Lot of people saying it was due to dropping Gilfi but I think it had more to do with Gomes coming back. Gilfi, like any No 10 needs someone behind him to win the ball and get it to him and that was happening back end of last season once we'd sorted the marking out and there wasn't this problem about him being too slow.
When gomes was out no-one was doing that and he was having to come back and get it or it was taking so long to get to him that the options weren't there to play in the wingers and forwards that we saw yesterday.
When he came on he looked great and scored.
Saying that Iwobi was great and should be given every chance.
