Ridiculous isn't it, the kid is 19 and settling in at a new country and possibly the fastest league in world football. I would like to see him given more opportunities against lesser teams at home and in the centre forward position.

He will get opportunities if he is working hard enough and we have a tough month coming up with plenty of games to play.
We're going to need some pace on the counter against some of the bigger teams next month. He could be that outlet.
Norwich at home would be a game he could do well in but he is going to have to go some to get the nod ahead of our other forwards.

Is he really so quick?
He needs to be brought on slowly, next season could be his season, maybe it’s just me but I Don think he is ready to lead the line.

Lad needs time to adjust and a goal to boost the confedence up, playing in a new league and environment, with all sorts apparently going on in background with his dad. Papers are all doom and gloom and consistent about knocking us down. Have some patience lads.

Have to add my two penneth on this. to back up what's being stated:
Hes 19, he's moved to a new club, where (to my knowledge) there are no other italian speaking players, i'm assuming he doesn't speak much english, and he's in a completely different culture. Having lived abroad in a few different countries. i can testify it ain't easy. even when you move to a native speaking country. The lad needs to be encouraged and nurtured. especially when u consider the pressure these lads are put under.
{Ed025's Note - i completely agree jcl, this is a young kid who is finding it difficult to settle in a foreign country where expectation is very high, he is not being helped by the fact that none of the other forwards seem to be able to score on a regular basis and the onus is on him to catch fire from the off, i hope he stays and develops as its far too early to just cast the guy off mate..

From my Army days i know how hard it is to move to a new country. They all do many things different to what you are used to, not just language etc. Even coming back to Uk after 11 years took a bit of getting used to si I fully understand how some players take time to adjust. Particularly young lads without a partner and kids to help.
