I am new to this forum so please be kind but I am just interested to hear what people think about Bielsa from Leeds taking over from Marco. Doing a good job in the championship and is well regarded. Pep certainly is an admirer. His name hasn't been mentioned, not sure he would come but surely should be considered and a better option than Moyes or Hughes.

You raise a good point SiBlue but he like others just joins the list of "managers ready for a step up", but they never get one. Instead PL clubs tend to go for proven PL experienced managers who have failed time and time again, or the same pool of in out managers like Moyes, Allardyce, Houghton and others. I guess they see it as a risk too high to be taken. Then the odd one gets a chance like at Brighton. Want to be top 6 then go for a top man, mid table go for PL experienced man, bottom half stick with who you have or take a risk.

Hi siblue.

Think decent shout, but yes seriously doubt he would come as unfinished business at Leeds getting them up.

Indeed very well regarded, not sure he could put his stamp on us with his tactics and approach as we are way too pedestrian and totally lack creativity.

Personally think bilic do decent job but again can't see him wanting leave WBA when he has them flying and less then 6months into his reign.

Seen mentioned on here b4 but Cowley brothers at Huddersfield are doing decent job since gone in there and when at Lincoin albeit massive step up and a few seasons too soon for them, I would sooner see a young fresh approach then the touted moyes/ Hughes approach. Saying all that think moyes will get it till end of season.

Yes Bielsa is a good shout but sadly his spies wouldn't get near any of the premierships training grounds. Joking apart I would have as an Everton manager but I don't think he would leave Leeds. Whoever we get it will be a tough job!

I like Crowley brothers. They will manager in prem soon but not ready yet. Although we got absolutely no chance, I would go all out for simeone or Jesse marsch from Salzburg. Both in champs league so would struggle to get them in.

Are we really saying with all this Manager replacement conjecture that our Club/ Board haven't been prepared to replace Silva for weeks if not months. Just look at Spurs a brilliant Manager in Pochettino (spelling) , slips up a bit and by their standards he has to go but crucially immediately replaced by a top Coach. I get slaughtered for moaning about the way we go about things but can anyone hand on heart say we have gone forward since Moyes left. Last 18 months, the best we could do was equal the disliked Alardyce finish of 8th and that given the new manager first season boost. I wasn't one for binning the old boys, love big Dunc for instance and despite what some think absolutely love BK and all he did for Everton. We thought this was a fresh start but in reality it has been paper over cracks and loyalty/ heart over-ruling head.

You make it sound like everything was ok at Spurs, BCT. The champions league kept him in a job last season but Poch had been grumbling in his press conferences for quite some time, it always seemed to me that there was something quite not right behind the scenes. So it wasn't just a 'slip up' this season that cost him his job, no manager can take on Levy and come out smelling of roses!

Bluepotato slip up was a general term, so I take your point. Still chalk and cheese twixt them and us.

No worries, BCT. Poch wasn't too much of a shock for me, his rambling press conferences over the last year hinted that he was either unhappy, wanting out of the job or maybe both. I don't think any other manager has been given the same level of patience from Levy!
