You know a lot was being made of Everton signing a 29 year old midfielder. Well i have just watched Moutinho for Wolves who is 33, and probably the best passer of the ball on the pitch.
So let's not write off 29 year olds boys. If they are good enough, then it doesn't matter.

Blue I said this about a month ago, I don’t care how old they are as long as they can do a job.

I don’t think people have written the likes of Allan off due to their ago in isolation, it’s more a case that with the clubs situation i am not sure he fits the recruitment model.
But I would take each case for a player on its own merit, Gueye is now 30 and he can boss the midfield still gutted he went.

Not sure what you’re on about Brassington?
Moutinho has always been class - regardless of age he doesn’t play for us though.

If there good enough why not a 28+ player the younger players can learn a lot from them, in the short term we could possibly grow and raise reputation and attract better players. As southern toffee says we miss gueye and did any of us ever question his age?

{Ed025's Note - and we could bring back yakubu dunc...after all hes only 23...or so it says on his passport mate.. :)

Ginger, try reading one word at a time, and then put a sentence together. It has nothing to do with who he is playing for.

I have read your post and still it makes no sense to me.
What 29 year old was being written off?
Just because moutinho a 33 year old was the best player In the Man U game in your opinion doesn’t mean much.
We’ve got Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson, Delph and Walcott who are all 30 but none of them can dictate games for us or pass a ball that well.
