Well here we go again a game yesterday we should have won, so many chances in front of goal we easily could have had scored 5-6 goals with more clinical finishing, our defence and midfield were atrocious, Siggy was as guilty as any with poor passes over and over again, also Morgan not good enough and it carries on with Delph, at the back Sidibi was also very poor, all this poor football will not go amiss with Carlo he will see what an average at best Team and that's being kind we have, hopefully he can sort this mess out in the summer.

Obviously using the time now to observe and evaluate but push on where we can. With this man's experience and achievements, I for one am confident it will all come good. It beggars belief how incompetent (possibly a bit strong but you get the drift) the Board have been.

Question time, Sidibe. yes or no. He has great games but then yesterday was in Aubameyangs pocket, at 12m he’s cheap in this day and age but with FFP breathing down our necks should we spend 12m when we could bring Kenny back for free who I have heard has been playing very well this year.

At the end of the day you can't expect to win a game if you give away 3 goals. It could have been 6-5 or 7-6 to either side as both defenses has an element of Keystone Cops about them, probably not acceptable to either manager but Arteta came away with the points because their strikers were more clinical with the chances given to them by our midfield/ defence.

To me there was a case that 3 of our midfielders shouldn't have been playing, especially not all together. Siggy, Schids and Delph have lost the pace and with it, the confidence to compete at the top level in the Premiership. I could understand picking Iwobi against his old side but he did nothing to make Arsenal fans rue the day he was sold. We need to find some speed, some bite in midfield and it's a risk but it's time to blood one of the U23's and get a reaction out of them

To answer the question on Sidibe. He's a defender but he can't defend - he gets dragged out of position too much. We can do better

It wasn't a disaster but it showed the work that Carlo still needs to do.

Sidibe gives so much offensively but he's clearly a bang average defender. And will have days where his best defensive displays are below average. I think maybe if the guy has a decent RW in front of him to form a partnership with, we could see an improvement. Also to give the guy credit, he is in his 1st season in the Prem and often players need a season to adjust. 12 m? I think I'd approve us buying him.

Sig is clearly trying really hard but it's just not his game to be a hardworking CM. He enjoys the freedom of being a 10 and that's just not possible anymore in our setup. He's holding us back financially and on the pitch. Must be moved in in Summer.

Baines deserves another 12 months but in truth, he's very slow now and maybe he needs to get involved in the coaching setup, be a shame to lose such a talented servant but we really need to address LB as losing Digne was a shame for us yesterday. Also when Digne has a poor spell, he doesn't really have a threat to his position and maybe sometimes he coasts through games?

And the elephant in the room since Lukaku. Regardless of how well DCL has done, we need a serious top striker with a track record. Yesterday we should have won. That's 2nd half (other than first 5 mins) we absolutely dominated Arsenal. Leno played very well. It was fine fine margins but a striker should have walked off with the match ball yesterday.

Gomes was unbelievable and Bernard is tidy if sometimes not quite at it.
So its the classic shopping list. A CB a RW and a CF. So much of an improvement and I'm very positive about the coming seasons. We deserved to win yesterday. No doubt the better team.

Agree with both your replies, i think we now have one of if not the best Managers in the Premier League who I am sure can finally sort our Team out, he will see in all the games he has managed for us what a mediocre side we are at times with all of the mistakes that is going on week in and week out, and Mr Moshiri will have offered him plenty funds to him to improve it when he was given the job.

Even my 2 good friends who are gooners both texted stating we should have won. A first probably since the 80s.

Yes we should have won but we didn't. The problem is the midfield, no threat going forward and no help in defense for 75% of the game. I would bring Kenny back and if we sign Sidibe play him in midfield. The major problem for the summer is that we will not have much money to spend on new players.

Midfield needs addressing and needs more pace both in running and recycling the ball, it’s far to pedestrian at times. Gueye is still a huge miss in the middle of the pitch, or all over the pitch as he did cover every blade of grass!
If the rumours of Allan from Napoli pan out he could be that immediate impact but price needs to be right. Similarly Morgan Samson is rumoured again. I think Brands will already be working on Ancelotti’s midfield upgrades. If and when Gbamin is fit we can see what he offers where.
Move on Schneiderlin Siggurdson Delph Besic Bolassie Sandro Tosun and Michael Keane to raise some funds.
Allegedly interest in Lozano again, he’s hardly played at Napoli since Carlo left. If not then I suspect there will be a couple or other interesting options
Up top I just don’t know if there are any options around for us, not within our financial restraints, I could see Ancelotti running with what he has. Would love a big name striker just think we don’t have the funds.
