Everton got me hating football again. Weve gone so far back i don't enjoy it anymore. Its like walker/ Smith all over again. Shocking. Badly run club. I'm gutted for the lads who paid to travel to the game. I truly am.

Could not agree more mate. Hate watching this type of set up no matter what team is playing. The “Master Tactician” got it horribly wrong I’m afraid.
If you allow a team to have the ball and attack you without any fear of having to defend themselves, then their will only be one outcome.
Their players grew more and more confident, while ours got more and more nervous. But hey he’s won a trophy so it’s obviously not his fault. Carry on like this and we will be relegation fodder by Christmas.

Yea I agree Bob I think the City players were really short of confidence going into the game (maybe they were haunted by memories of their last game against Everton) and our setup gave them the much needed boost.
{Ed0666's Note - and the fact you are a depleted team with no thrust in midfield or up front which is because of your terrible injury list at the moment. Blaming the set up/manager is clutching at straws.

I'm not sure what some of our fans really expect? A depleted team playing one of the best teams in Europe, did we expect to batter them?
We all know the failings of the squad, there is no depth whatsoever that can add that sparkle of quality. Without Mina, Dacoure and DCL, we will struggle to score or keep goals out. We knew this season would be a struggle, nothing will change until these players come back or we can strengthen in the next window.

A team is only depleted when there’s no depth to the squad.
My bottom is extremely twitchy right now. We are heading toward relegation battles and none of this current squad has shown that they have any type of minerals to fight for any points.
Very worrying times.

Here we go with the depleted squad excuse again. Leeds have a depleted squad and have a 19 year old playing up front, but they are showing what can be achieved if you don’t sit back and hope for the best.
Tactics are all wrong, and not just for this game.

Got to say wasn’t as bad a result as was expecting.
Our squad is threadbare at the moment.
My main concern is lack of firepower - Richarlison hasn’t had a shot on target for quite sometime, Rondon is poor, iwobi is poor and lacking confidence, Gray possibly out for a few games, DCL still not fit.
However with those issues with firepower we still don’t get to see Dobbin or Simms get a chance ??♂️.

How many seasons do we have to carry some sort of excuse? I wouldn't be arsed if we got beat 10-3 today as the points will still be the same but we showed why we make players millionaires.

Yea I was being sarcastic Ed! They stuffed us 5-0 last time we played them. very much doubt there were any confidence issues going into the game. Our squad is diabolical. both in terms of ability and attitude but I'm afraid that this was always going to happen once we got on a bad run - there are people who have been waiting to get on Rafa and are rubbing their hands at how bad we are. Simple fact is he didn't put this squad together and needs time to at least try and out it right.

Woburn, it's not an excuse just a reality. We have no depth, it's been like this for a few seasons now. Every time an important player gets injured, we feel it big time. Blame the manager if you want but, until he gets to shape his own squad, he will be p. ing in the wind. The majority of our players aren't good enough and need replacing. Same bunch of players that have seen off 3 or 4 managers already.
