Ed02/ 25 do you guys know why we are even contemplating loaning Digne to another club rather than a straight sale? Surely we need money to reinvest?
Correct me if I’m wrong but getting his wages off our books for six months with no obligation to buy isn’t really getting them off your books.
Just seems crazy that all these clubs are interested but only for a loan.

Well it's Rafa who is doing everything now so we shall see what unfolds. Brands and Walsh didn't do much so can't be much worse, can it?

Totally Agree Mike but there track records before us speaks for themselves, it does make you wonder who or what is the problem.
I honestly thought brands would be the making of us, implementing a system running through the club where everyone was on the same page, academy players stepping up knew the roles because they had been playing them previously, transfer and scouting had a direction and the club setup commercially to make money.
Sound so simple, fingers crossed Rafa can navigate this better than Brands and Walsh the next two windows are huge!

I think Walsh screwed us, we had this attitude of living outside our means because we had Moshiri, rolled the dice for European football, took a swing and missed…. badly!
Personally I think Brands had a horrible task trying to right the financial wrongs and wasn’t helped by the third party advisors that Ed mentions
But now it is all on Rafa and hopefully he works some magic with players he wants
Regards Digne I hope if we loan it’s with and obligation although I do feel he is quality in the right set up so we should get buyers unlike with some of the others we wanted to shift.

Not sure how it’s all on Rafa as I highly doubt that the 3rd party advisors have disappeared.
Just hope Rafa has the gumption to stand up and say no to any players he doesn’t want - unlike previous managers who appeared to be happy to be paid but let moshiri and his advisors recruit certain players.
