Ask yourselves this 1 question. what would klopp or guardiola do if the took over at our club? Would they expose the rot? Sell players? Stick to their philosophy? Would they want time to bring players in? Would they need money? Would they ask you to have faith with them? Yes. The problem is "WE ARE EVERTON aren't WE? "! So what does that mean these days? What are we? Ill tell you. a club with no profile. A club with no playing style. A club with no trophies. A club with no identity. We are a club in need of a ruthless dictator who comes in and ships out the deadwood. A dictator who has the strength to stand up to the board and the fans and says enough is enough. A dictator who listens only to himself and believes he will succeed. Anyway that's enough for me. can't argue anymore. Terrible result but look at the bigger picture please. This man is doing what we've wanted for so many years. Unfortunately he still wears a red armband to some people.

{Ed025's Note - i think if pep or klopp had them he would coach them pauly, i dont want to keep changing managers either mate but how far do we fall before we decide it needs changing?..

Agree3 Disagree0

Ed025 he has over seen some of lpools worst ever performance stats in their history. He has also won things. How many of his squad are still there from when he took over?

{Ed025's Note - i dont really care about his past pauly mate, its his relevance now that concerns me and if his talents suit us at this time..

I can honestly see Martinez back. He would jump at the chance. Wether he’s the right man is a different story. But now I think Rafa has brought the fans together in wAnting him out and now did the next manager it will be a easier job for him because what Rafa has done. The only way in terms of positivity is up. It’s a good project now for a young manager come in abs probably will have time to sort things out because Rafa will be taking all the slack and most people just want him gone now.

02 Jan 2022 19:45:06
Agree ed025, and also play them to give them confidence, not chuck them away or freeze them out. Benitez has a man management problem. Look how many pep and klop have groomed with the arm around approach.

I think Ed 25's opinion strikes a chord with most of us tbh, managers are in the 'zone' for a very short period of time these days .
So much money involved things move on and very very fast and leave a lot of them behind.
It's best to start thinking PL 2022 and not 2005, Rafa appears to be in the latter.

02 Jan 2022 20:22:35
Eddy, be realistic son. We all banded together to get the last 6 managers out and the next man hasn't done any better.

Moyes ran the whole show (same as hammers now) and took 3 years to start showing progress (2nd season finished 17th)

Rafa is using the players he has and trying to find a formation to suit them.

The main problem for me is he is being stubborn with his formations. Around he 433 with Allan, doucoure and 1 of Davies, gomez or gbamin. He won't play digne because he'll be gone in week or two but should have shifted Godfrey lb, Coleman rb with Keane and Holgate cb. Yes they are poor but that's their position so play there.

Thought he may have put Holgate rb instead of Kenny, who is pants.

Martinez is a good manager but still worries over defensive ability, even with the talent he has with Belgium.

If rafa goes and hope he doesn't (all managers need time) then marsch was at RBL, Warburton at QPR (takes no nonsense) or even someone like rowett, ex blue, doing pretty well now after few issues at clubs.

The thing with Rafa is he doesn’t admit to his mistakes and when you don’t think your wrong you can’t learn from your mistakes look at his past he’s fell out with the majority of the clubs owners players and fans that he’s been at. It was never going to work with out results. You could get behind him if the team showed some sort of fight and style but it’s horrific football with no plan. If the performances were decent you can see something coming but they are just not there. The whole club has become disjointed and it’s not all Rafa’s fault but he’s adding heavily to it and I cannot see any other outcome other than him being sacked in the coming months.

I'm not on the blame Rafa for our league position train at the moment as the main problem stems from disgustingly poor recruitment and decision making for years. This season we have had plenty of injuries which decimates an extremely thin squad in terms of quality and reliability. However, today's tactics and decisions were appalling. I do fear that he isn't relevant or out of touch with modern football. I think the true test is how he approaches the next game. Our defending was the worst I've seen for a while and we had a defensive set up. Nobody understood what they we were defensively.

Gordon has shown plenty of fight and passion over the last couple games, even risking a red card and getting into scuffles with players like bissouma (who would be ideal for us but will be at a top team next season) .

Where is the fight with the rest of them. Coleman always shows his passion but his body can't back it up. Godfrey too gets stuck in and richy, even tho he sulks and hits the ground, loves giving it out.

Players like Keane, Holgate, iwobi, rondon, Allan etc just wander round the pitch.

There are 2 main problems our fans have in recent years. With moshiri money, we all thought we would be challenging just by buying expensive players. We need to look for the right type of player and personality.

And, whether we want to admit it or not, there is huge jealousy with those lot over the park. Klopp took 3/ 4 years to take an already top 4 team into trophy winners and we expected it to be instant. doesn't work like that.

I agree based on today's performance he was stubborn and needed to change it far sooner. The formation just made no sense. He needs to accept blame for this. However I'm still not part of the give the sack section. Personally I didn't like the abuse he was getting from the gladwys street today, atmosphere was beyond toxic and that's certainly not helping. He has inherited a shambles and I honestly think it will take 5 seasons before we are a top 7 side and consistent. He did bring in 2 decent signings for 1.7 million. I don't think he can be assessed properly until a minimum of half the starting 11 are his signings.

Manager sets the tactics, picks the formation and trains the players. Open your eyes!

02 Jan 2022 22:24:27
Woburn, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. 8 managers (including caretakers) have run the club since moshiri came in and none, even carlo, have not managed to make them play well.

02 Jan 2022 22:50:25
None have managed to make them play well, that should read.

Carlo parked the bus, well 2 buses, and lucked some results.

Martinez was the best, we played some lovely football under him, gunners 3 nil win comes to mind. We just struggled defensively.

02 Jan 2022 23:40:23
How many players have we gone through with these managers, just remind me?
Fact is we are the most negative team in the league. The players are not buying into this, but if they question it they are out.
If he is such a good coach why are players like Dacoure, Allan, Godfrey all going backwards?
If he was that bloody good why were clubs not queuing up for him when he left Newcastle?
Time has passed him by, and to answer the original question, yes Klopp or Pep would get more out of these players, because they play with a positive attitude, and trust their players to deliver.
We play with a negative approach and it spreads through the team.

03 Jan 2022 00:49:52
If we played klopp or pep's way, we'd be getting beat 6 or 7 rather than 2 or 3 nil.

We've gone through 30 players, easy within these 5 years, not many are worthy of our great club.

Plenty of clubs have spoken to rafa since he left the geordies. He didn't want to go to them.

03 Jan 2022 08:37:49
Rubbish. Players want to play, and negative tactics are producing negative performances.
Benitez is a yesterday man and he will never change.

03 Jan 2022 11:48:40
We are a far better side when allowed to push forward it's just our defense is like a wet paper towel catching a brick.
