I remember years ago when Rafa was manager at Liverpool during the TV interviews, he was always stressing the importance of " keeping clean sheet". I assumed he meant not to let the opposition score. Perhaps he needs to think that way again for a few matches.

I understand where you're coming from Brian but Rafa can't do owt about our defenders not marking people or not tracking runs or missing tackles or not giving fouls away or playing stupid passes.

We are conceding just a stupid amount of goals right now but they're not all on Rafa. I'd put every goal Brighton scored down to individual error/ switching off.

Spot on Chris. If I was playing at Everton - you could give me coaching 24:7 and I’d still be rubbish making mistakes.
Raffa can’t make Hollgate, Keane, Kenny good footballers - he recognises this and is buying better players.
I think there will be a lot of outs over next 2-3 windows - how on earth Kenny, holgate and Davies are still thinking they are PL standard is crazy!
Need a settled back 4 to work from - don’t think we need a back 5 for games coming up

Hopefully Decore, DCL back to full fitness too. With Gray and Gordon I’m wondering if Richarlison my be sold to make some cash -, Mina too maybe and with sigs coming off wage bill soon may be a little better FFP.

After Holgate made the challenge against Maupay, Keane just totally panicked and kicked it weakly straight to them. Ten seconds later it was 3-1. He is supposed to be a premiership centre half.

{Ed025's Note - hes just so inconsistent bobslad, one game hes very good and the next an absolute shambles..

Until he was 15 (went off to do a tough sport - fell running) , used to bring my boy home covered in lumps and bruises from a game, coach said to him pre-match your position, your man, your job. It was his position, it was his man, did his level best to do his job. Think some of these modern day pro footballers have never seen a Sunday morning game never mind played in one.

Agree with all your comments above.

Agree with your man, your job bit. But what good would it do them to play rubbish standard Sunday league? ?.

I will be working with them to look at getting them improving by 6%. That’s what he said. Maybe he didn’t realise some of them were only starting at 10%?
One thing is clear though. Apart from Gordon I am struggling to think of any that have improved. While quite a few have definitely regressed.

Ed025, Keane is a confidence player. If his tail is up, he's a very good cb. If the opposition get at him from the off, he tends to fall to pieces. He costs us a lot of goals when his head pops.

{Ed025's Note - hes an experienced international BP so he has to be better than that im afraid, they should call him "jigsaw" cos he goes to pieces in the box.. :)

Ed025 ?? it's definitely an apt name mate. I agree with you there, it's a trait you would expect from a young player at the beginning of their career. MK is a seasoned pro and it should have been knocked out of his game by now.

{Ed025's Note - exactly BP, usually centre backs mature but MK seems to have regressed mate and to be honest hes become a liability..

Ed025 I’m expecting the away fans to sing a song about Keane being a ‘jigsaw’ haha.
