We probably need t sell Digne but until he goes he would be a much better alternative as a left sided midfielder to the ones Rafa has used. Rafa needs to forget the vendetta, use the player while he is still on the books.

Digne can't defend, neither could Baines, Baines had peanuts in front of him, Digne would have Ricky in front of him when all fit. Could have Gray in the 10.

Well Digne can help the new kid with the defense but focus on overlapping with Ricky and getting the ball into the center which is Digne's strength. Digne is more of an attacking midfielder in my opinion which is what we have been lacking. Of course he would not fit into Rafa's team were we have to have five defenders and two defending midfielders.

You are forgetting BlueMike that for Rafa it is a vendetta. Every club he has been to he falls out with one or two players and forgets about the good of the team to make a point

He's not interested in what is best for Everton but only getting back at Digne for whatever imagined slight he has

People say Digne hasn't played as well as he did in his first year but are they really questioning his desire to put a shift in every game? If they are they need to look again.

I don't get why everyone is saying we need to play digne while he is still at the club. It's standard practice that when you want to sell a player you don't play them. They have no future in the team and if they get injured they won't be sold. Selling digne is good business, reduces the wage bill and we get a fee while he is still at the age where we can get a fee for him.

I understand people position that they don't want to see our beeter players leave. I know everyone says you shouldn't sell your best players and that's ok if you have massive financial power like Chelsea city and utd but us smaller clubs need to play money ball especially with FFP breathing down our neck.

Why name him on the bench against Brighton then chris? I reckon he put Digne on the bench purely to let him witness Mykolenko being introduced to the fans, Rafa is a petty, grudge holding dinosaur, he keeps talking players having "the right attitude" but his own attitude is all wrong. another fine mess the board and owner have gotten us into.

Digne is still one of the best LWB's in the Prem. People forget how bad Bainsie was at pure defending because he was so good as a LWB particularly when he and peanut were top of their game.

Look at the teams apparently in for him. They must all be idiots if you listen to how bad he's been the last 18 months.

I don't get why he was on the bench Danny. He was never going to get a game but he puts Simms Dobbin and Onyango on the bench as well with no intention of playing them either.

Could it be the reason he put Digne on the bench was to let him have a send off during his warm ups, we just do not know what has gone on, how do we know he has not been knocking on the Managers door with a transfer request.
