Do other like myself see that Digne and possible buyers now hold all the aces regarding a transfer deal, with Everton on the possible loosing end of a deal.

Other clubs aware of the fallout between Rafa and Digne, know that Everton need to sell, so probably won't meet the clubs asking price.

Digne can say I'll stay at Everton and honour my contract if the clubs I want don't come in.

The whole business of the fallout should have been kept in house and not in the public domain.

Depends on whether Digne wants to get into the France World Cup squad - if he does then would be silly not take a move if comes up.

If he’s not bothered then he’s entitled to see out his contract with us.

However didn’t he recently sign a new deal? If so it’ll be a longtime in the reserves if him and Rafa don’t sort it out and surely he’d actually want to play football? The club could play hardball with him which benefits neither party.

You never know if Rafa gets given the boot at some point and Digne hasn’t gone then a new manager may want to play him?

Agree what you say Dan
Digne wants out, Rafa wants Digne out. Doesn’t help Everton to get a good deal. Everyone knows we need the money.
Chelsea want Digne, Chelsea want rid of Barkley. Whichever and wherever it ends I think Everton will get the worse of any deal. Will see how good Rafa is on negotiating transfers now he in full charge.

Hopefully we play hardball for a change and we get a decent deal.

I think Rafa is stubborn enough to let Digne rot in the reserves so to speak than let him go on the cheap.

Whilst clubs probably not our current financial mess I’m not sure they’ll get a cheap deal on him - I reckon if he’s still with us in last week of window then he won’t be going anywhere but the reserves.

Well we’ve spent nearly 30m on transfers and added to the wage bill. So letting him rot in the reserves is not really going to help the club. He has to be sold to reduce these incomings. Will end up being a smaller fee with add ins knowing us.

The transfer activity over the last 5 years has been the worst of any club in premier League history. But the funny thing is the fans that are desperate to pour negativity, toxicity and division into our football club will probably blame Rafa if we don't get £50m for Digne ??. If we sell the guy at all it's an improvement on the last 5 years where we've loaned them out until their contract is up!

As the manager stated. To have a successful transfer the club have to be happy with the offer and so does the player. And if no one pays what Everton expect or arrange a loan that suits, he will remain an Everton player come February 1st. Can't see the problem myself, other than a bunch of fans who clearly love, in some perverse way, being a hard done by victim.

The problem is we have spent heavily and added to our wage bill. Two things we should be trying not to do given our current situation. Digne needs to be sold to balance those purchases, both in fees and wages. Loaning him out will not achieve this.

Brian21 point being Rafa doesn't negotiate transfers, there is a separate department for that.
