We've lost 16 league games so far this season. Both managers trusting experience over youth. We would be no worse off had they rolled the dice.
Whilst I am no big fan of the three at the back got to agree with comments above that Patterson would seem to suit that system.

Think frank doesn't want to knock the kids confidence amd put relegation pressure on them.
But Frank.
They are only games of football and that's what these kids are good at. Besides the 100k a week will soften the blow.
Needs to just unleash them . Gordon, Patterson, branthwaite, mickey, even give dobbin a go up top.
If it works he can take credit, if not, he can say I told you so to us fans.

He was playing for Scotland, OK only a friendly, but two players got 8 out of ten and he was one of them, no player got a better score according to one report. Most ex-players thought that he had a good game. If he did not play for us we would have said that he was the sort of player we should have gone after.

Friendly against a Polish 2nd Team whose Country us under duress. The lad played well last night in a non pressure game. No idea how he does in training for us and we are not the Manager or coaching staff.

No vitriol, it's just a matter of opinion. We will not know how he plays until he is given a full game. All we do know, since we have seen them all season, is that the incumbents are poor.

After his performance for Scotland he should be given a chance for us as currently not 1 of our back 4 deserves to play.
However I doubt he’ll be given a chance as think Frank may have risked losing the dressing room with his public criticism of players and won’t want to add to that by dropping the captain (Coleman) .

Yes Dan, that criticism was too on the hoof for my liking too, he should have either saved it or done it differently .
Now he may have compromised his future decisions.
