A really frustrating day for all Evertonians and one that cranks up the pressure and nerves

I think we would have comfortably won if it wasn't for the first sending off. Lot's of things wrong with it

Firtsly there should have been a penalty for the shirt tugging on Ricky immediately before it
Secondly the Brentford player had already been booked earlier in the game. HE should have been the one sent off for second yellow
Third - How does VAR not see it
Brentford break away from it and Branthwaite is sent off for bringing Toni down when he was in on goal. I kind of understand the decision and that VAR couldn't overrule that as it wasn't an obvious error but it would not have
been awarded if the penalty on Ricky had been given

We need to remember Branthwaite is just 19. Hopefully he will learn from this and maybe all of us calling for the youngsters to be blooded will have a bit more understanding why this does not always happen

To rub salt in our wounds the same Brentford player then gave away the penalty that was given. Why he wasn't given a deserved second yellow for that I do not know and that is what is so frustrating

All of this encouraged Brentford who deserved their win against us, a team cruelly reduced to 10 men and who certainly didn't get fairness from the officials

Anyway, it's unfair, it increases the pressure to get a result on Thursday but there's no reason to think we can't do it

Very good points bw I genuinely do believe their is an agenda from officials against our club as we have not once had any decisions go our way we always seem to get screwed by them and anyone who says they even out then our last two games will be interesting.
