Whilst I agree that Kenny isn't good enough for the starting 11 does any1 else take it as we may finally have a sensible plan.

Low wages, he will be 2/ 3 choice and can play multiple positions. Will also allow us to spend funds elsewhere and long term I feel if we tighten the rains now and mainly look at loans, young players and freebies it will set us up for 2-3 years down the line. Just my take anyways.

Personally I think if they are not good enough and Kenny has had his chances he should be released why keep a player we know is not up to standard? Because he’s cheap because he’s local?
I’d rather let him go and utilise the u23s give someone new a chance. Nothing against kenny just don’t see the point in keeping players not good enough.

We have that many players out of contract within the next month, too many to replace, that one or two will be retained. Since JJK is versatile, it's no real surprise that he has been offered a new deal. Relatively cheap wage, home-grown and not over 30, he will do as back up to the first team.
Reading some of the posts on the different pages on this site, this has split the fans a bit. What we have to realise is, as sirloin says, the club is addressing it's FFP with a plan to move forward. We can't just go out and throw cash at a new RB as well as filling out positions that need strengthening like we have in the recent past. There's not going to be a quick, but expensive, fix like we have seen under FM so far.

If JJK goes why does he need replacing? He doesn't. I also don't agree he is 2nd or 3rd choice. LB myko, Niels, Godfrey then Kenny. So forth choice. RB Patterson/ Coleman, holgate, Godfrey, Kenny so 5th choice.

Just 30k a week wasted. That's not even my opinion it's just facts.

Absolutely Chris, why keep a player 5 managers have tried to punt on to no avail. Completely agree with everything you stated re Kenny and where he slots in!

Spot on Chris.

We would need to bring in another RB unless you want to rely on Seamus again? We all know he's past it so it would leave us short in that position. I suppose we could use either Godfrey or Holgate there but I'd rather have a proper RB in than using CB's. I think we would listen to any offers for Holgate too mate.

If he’s deemed not good enough to start a game, I’d be keen to blood a youngster that could end up being better and will increase in value to the club.
If Frank sees something in him however, so be it.

Let's be sensible here. Holgate and Godfrey are either starting or back up CBs depending on how many we sign. Kenny has done better on loan than Nkounou so far and Nkounko is more a LWB.
If we get a couple of defensive injuries we will need to buy 2 CBs or a versatile back up full back. Seems pointless to me. ay aswell keep Kenny until we can loosen our belts a bit more.

We clearly have more than enough cover for the positions. Kenny has proved himself not good enough time and time again. And we would not be relying on Coleman. Patterson would be first choice Coleman back up. With less game time he'd be in better condition when he did play.
