Chelsea fan here in peace.

With our recent links to Richarlison I wanted to know what you fans thought of him and if he's good enough for a team that would eventually want to push for the league in a year or two?

I don't watch him week in week out so can't say. When I have watched him I don't like him personally as he's a wind up merchant but he's the type of player the club he plays for their fans love him. The Suarez/ Costa type. Not of their quality but of the same ilk. From what I have seen he has a great work rate and a good finisher. Also looks very capable in the air.

But I'd be welcome to know what you guys thought who've watched him every game?

You'll have some people tell you that Richie sulks a lot, or falls over too easily, or looks like he's been sucking a lemon most of the time, as well as not scoring enough, and while there is some truth in all that, I think he's our best player and the reason we stayed up last season. He works his socks off and with more quality around him will only get better. He gets hacked to pieces every game by opponents because they can't match his pace or trickery, which is why he ends up on the deck so often. I think his rep as a player who goes to ground a lot is a bit unfair.

Agree with a lot of that. I have always seen him as a player that leaves everything on the pitch. Gets a lot of stick for going to ground but gets nowhere near enough credit for his work rate, tackling etc

When he plays with better attackers in the national team he comes alive even more in an attacking sense.

Only reservation for Everton has been that him and DCL don't seem to gel as an attacking pair.

He is a good player Barry but i don't think he is good enough for where you want to get to i. e. surpassing Liverpool and City in the league.

He works his bollocks off and cares which i cannot fault him for.

Analysing his game, I don't see him as being particularly skillful or a man full of tricks. He is industrious and doesn't give defenders a moments peace. He is good in the air but in terms of his finishing, i think he still needs to improve on it.

Really depends what you are after as a player. Technically i don't think he is up to a top 4 side. I have said for a good 12/ 18 months if we can get 50/ 60m for him i would snap clubs hands off for it.

He is by far and above our best player and most important player but he isn't irreplaceable and if i was a Chelsea fan i would prefer to go after say a Raphina out of the two - simply from a technical aspect.

He does go down too easily, it's frustrating but I think his attitude to win outweighs the play acting, he sulks, yes, he looks like he's won the lottery and lost his ticket, but I think most of it stems from him wanting to win wanting to score. Definitely would be an asset to any team buying him. It'll be a sad day when he leaves, but most fans I think, will agree he's given everything and earned a good move!

{Ed0666's Note - I wish my wife would go down easily! Maybe I have to show her you tube clips of richarlason???!!

He’s far better than some of the players you had at Chelsea this season.

Would easily get in your team ahead of lukaku and Werner - but that’s probably not difficult.

He’s better than ziyech and Havertz

However not sure he’s a no 9 as such, but used in a front 3 with your quality in midfield he’d be a cracking signing for you.

If he does end up at Chelsea he’ll be in double figures for goals which as you only had Mount in double figures last season is something you need.

Wouldn’t want him to go but if he does would hope one of Gallagher, Gilmore or Colwill involved in the deal coming our way to soften the blow.

Ed is she hasn't learned from either Salah and Mane then you've got no chance mate.

{Ed0666's Note - to be fair mate I should show her clips of Neymar I’d be a very happy man!

When you say he's going to a team who'll challenge for the league in a year or two do you mean Liverpool or spurs?
