If we won every trophy available some people would still be negative.
As Evertonians we are used to being perennial underdogs and punching above our weight. I quite enjoy not being able to predict our season and willing us to get to the magic 40 points each year.
Let's just let the season unfold and allow Frank and his backroom staff do their job with us backing them and not call for sacking them.
Accept that mid table would be a great achievement for the next few seasons and just enjoy the fact that we are blessed to love this club.
We are Everton and we are supporters of the Grand Old Team. Be proud and shout loud.

Hopefully we are in transition from bottom 3rd to middle of the league. Then progress again next season and so on.
We need to be patient and realistic. There isn't a manager out there who could take this current squad to top six. Its going to take time.
I think the negativity is born out of years of frustration and lack of success. And with a clear plan and time to execute it, we can gradually become contenders for silverware and become a club that other teams fear again.

I think we'll be close to or in the top ten, I have confidence in Frank, I'm hopeful he'll build his team over time and make us a team people dread playing and a team we'll have confidence in!

How many years have we as a Club been out the picture; how many reviews in that time; how many years have we been late to the 'window' Party? Who does the negotiating, who does the reviews (strategic etc! ) . For things to change it needs acceptance at Board level. How can that happen when it is the very people putting procedures in place doing the review (s) .

I think you have a sound philosophy WelshT and it will serve you well!
There are those people in life though that just keep on climbing and looking up. It’s not to be knocked as it’s those people that have pushed the endeavours of men and women to strive for more and never just ‘settle’ and become complacent with what they have got. On the other hand some people view these people as dreamers. Always wanting more and are never satisfied with life.
It’s good to be different (as long as we are all blue! ) ?.

With every new manager almost everyone agrees he will need a 3 year plan to get things right. Unfortunately a lot of us start to complain when he hasn't completed it in 6 months. Admittedly this happens at all clubs at all levels, look at United at the moment. The Reds spent 25 years telling us their latest signing was the final peice of the puzzle.

As long as we are playing well and winning games, I’m not bothered with silverware yet. Like you say trucker: let’s get to 40 points and push on.
With Tarks in defence, I’m hoping we sort out the mess at the back and cut out the mistakes that hampered us in so many games last year otherwise the only marquee signing we’ll be making is the big top marquee from Bobo’s circus….
