Goes to show the gulf in our best u23s and what's required in the 1st 11. Hope this is the season where the penny drops for those constantly calling for the kids. Only been 6 managers that have blanked them. Not good enough!

Or perhaps those managers just weren't brave enough to play them, and that's why none of them are still here. Brought their own favourites in and they all turned out to be crap.

Yeah cowards right? 1 meekly won la liga the super cup and that little CL tin pot cup. Another won the championship with his eyes closed because it was all so scary. Another was reappointed head coach of his nation for a 2nd time with that timid Barcelona stint in the middle, what a bottle.
Another decided to retire and turn up to Talk sport and ridicule us mercilessly since we sacked him and the last one is still to dare dip his toe back in the managerial waters. Likely turn up somewhere and will probably do alright for someone. Perhaps Newcastle?
So long as some fans can't get their head round it I guess this desperate narrative will rumble on and on.
