Apparently we have knocked back an approach for Keane. If true then I think that is a mistake. The issue may be bringing someone else in to replace him but I believe that should have been thought of anyway. Our centre backs have been complete liabilities. I would like to see how Godfrey develops but I'd accept a bid for Holgate/ Keane/ Mina. I'd keep Holgate out of them 3 though.

Yep saw that West Ham inquired about Keane, him and Hogate were poor but at least Holgate seemed to improve under Frank.

Mina and Godfrey out. Sell Keane and we then have to look for another CB. Do we know what the Club think of Keane? Perhaps they value him above the WH bid.

Should of took any offer. Holgate is available and then there's Welch, who would learn so much alongside Tarkowski and Coady. Plus Coleman has been playing RCB.

I think we should get shot of Mina. Spends more time injured than he does playing and is in massive wages.

Keane, mina, Allan, gbamin and Gomes could all go for me - however cannot see us getting many if any offers for any of them.
Keane - regressing
Mina - too injury prone
Allan - age against him
Gbamin - injuries and off field antics
Gomes - was poor and poorer since injury.

Hammers wanted to loan Keane. Why would the club want to do that given our shortage of centre backs? It's not like they could just go out and buy another.
If hammers want him then they should pay up.

Indeed Brass.
With our injury record too much of a risk to loan a defender out unless we could have a clause in there that we could recall at anytime but that wouldn’t suit the team loaning player.

Think the bid came at a bad time. If the other two CB's didn't get injured in our first game then we may have welcomed negotiations. As it is, another injury to a defender could cause us huge problems. If they are interested now then they might come back for him in the next window. We can dream anyway.

I wouldn't loan the guy out. If we get a solid sale offer sell him. lending him to a club where he'll be found out means we get him back with less chances of selling him. He needs to go lampard sounded like he had no plans to use him on the hp podcast. He's a liability no loan sell sell sell.

Brass you are right mate, the loan wasn't reported when I made the post.

Mk in my opinion ion is one of the worst signings the club has made. He came I average he's now utterly garbage. Can't defend, as competent as Frank Spencer on the ball. Can't head straight and zero pace. Truely atrocious. At least when mina plays he is a half decent player. Keane has to be the priority, I would be happy to sell him for a million just get rid.
