People all jumping in McNeills back for his performance yesterday. While I agree he didn’t have his best game I think he will come good. We will see a big difference in him when we play a focal point in attack. He has a great delivery. So I think we should hold judgement until we play with a striker he can hit with early crosses. I think he will be a good addition not a world beater but a solid option to have.

That's why it was strange to see Rondon come in when he went off?! Should have had Rondon in there from the start. McNeil was terrible. One game, especially the first one, didn't mean much. However, when you already have concerns about the player it does magnify it somewhat. I'm still going to support him s it's well well too early to start giving up on him obviously.

Very fair point that BT, but if I was in franks shoes McNeil would of been my choice to come off too. I still think I’ve seen enough to put us far enough from the drop to sweat this season. Think our defence and solidified middle of the park will see us have a good few 1-0 wins. That Patterson looks a player excited to see him this season. Think gray needs to pick up his game plenty of potential and I think he needs to start showing for the ball more I think he can unlock doors.
{Ed025's Note - for me gray needs to get involved more jimbob. He’s a luxury player who would serve us better from the bench. Hopefully that’s where he will end up by next week mate..

If gray is going to start before rondon then it's got to be up top. Move Gordon back to wing. Gray has the speed to get behind defenders. And Gordon has more chance setting gray up than vice versa.

No let's stop doing that. Let's get a striker to play that position and let players play their position. It's something we've been doing for too long and causes us so many issues and then the fans dig a player out because he's not performing and repeat and repeat and repeat.

Onana, Tarkowski, Coady good. Mcneil blame the scouts, not doing their job. Defence sorted, sort of. A DM and two strikers missing. Two hard games, Villa awful but yet first 75 mins over ran us. Chelsea are the Gnats.
