With this Gordon to Chelsea rumour. Are Chelsea just testing the water here because they know Frank is keen on a few of their squad players?
I mean if they ended up say offering Gallagher or Broja as part of the deal, then they are giving us a squad player and getting Gordon for next to nothing.
So would be win, win for them.

Agree Ed, those two would be huge for us. But recent history shows that the second option is probably more likely.
If that were the case then would hope the club hold out for the best cash deal possible.

Previously we’d probably ask £50m for Gordon then take Barkley and batshuyai and give Chelsea £10m on top instead

Broja and Gallagher for Gordon! The world has gone mad, that would be amazing! Sadly I can see it being Barkley (with a small amount of cash) and that quite frankly would be a disgrace.

I don't think Gallagher or Broja are coming here, unless it's playing for opposition. No to Barkley, Michy no too. A player like Barkley though would be a big yes. A player to take the ball and drive forward at opposition defences. Shame we couldn't get that Lucas bloke from Lyon. Newcastle managed to get Bruno from them so you never know. Wages talk but our finances probably mean a big fat NO. Must be a cheaper version who would improve team and not cost a lot in fees and wages.

With Onana we finally have a bit of steel and grit in our midfield and this could also free up Doucoure, who has suffered a terrible drop in form possibly because he's been playing as a DM when he's more comfortable as a box to box bomber.

Onana is better as box to box by all accounts. If we get a proper DM then midfield is sorted. Let's Onana burst forward.
