We should be looking for a fast pacey striker. We are constantly hunting for the ball so our only realistic chance of scoring is on the break.
If we do sell Gordon then get a winger with a decent passing range, Mcneil on the other side picking out through balls and we might just start scoring goals.
DCL or a like for like striker isn't going to score many with our deliveries from out wide. Pattison maybe but Mykolenko doesn't get forward enough to supply anyone.

If Chelsea want Gordon that badly then we should push for Broja and Gallagher. Two young quality players who would instantly strengthen the team. And to those who say you will never get them, why not? We are in a strong position here and it’s about time we pushed back.
I would tell Chelsea keep your money this is what I want, now do the deal or feck off. Sorted.

Holy Trinity - highly unlikely we’d get both.
Gallagher is already a better player than Gordon and is a similar age and also an England international.
I’d love Gallagher at Everton but highly unlikely would happen - either Chelsea wouldn’t want him to leave or if they did he’d want to go back to palace.

if he goes he will go to the club that makes him the best offer. Doubt that would be Palace. Probably end up at Newcastle.
