With January transfer window not too far away, what are people's preferred position to be signing players (if any are signed) . For me I think we need 1 or 2 central midfielders. Midfield was non existent against Brighton. May aswell played 6-0-4 formation. We need a midfielder who can control the centre of the pitch, pick a pass that doesn't go straight to the opposition defence, can tackle and if the fancy takes them, have a shot at goal. Someone who can play like Rodri. The attack is OK and our defence is solid centrally. Myko is coming on leaps and bounds and looks to of finally found his feet in the Premier. I know he might not be a player to everyone's choosing but callum McGregor at celtic could be a good buy if available. Reminds me of James Mccarthy when he started out for us. Think we need a Gana replacement.

Surely januarys priority is keeping hold of players?
Onana and branthwaite playing well that I imagine there’d be some interest in them.

dentie, we cannot afford anybody especially if we don't sell.
We will need to sell to pay bank loan fees on stadium.
We still have to pay for Beto.
What we need mostis no injuries and VAR dropped ( Oh I forgot they don't use it at Goodison unless its Preston guild) .

If we can get a few in I think we need cm and a rm as a priority. If everyone is fit our squad just about is okay. Unfortunately that's not always going to be the case so we will need to strengthen. I am making the assumption that neither Gomez or Ali will be available.

Get rid of Deli and Gomes. £200k a week is scandalous for never playing.
Replacement for Gueye.

Depends if anyone goes. If onana leaves that leaves a massive gap in midfield so a midfielder or 2. But I'd be very happy if we just managed to keep hold of everyone.
I understand onana will probably want to leave in the summer and tbh it will probably be what's best for the club as well. 2 CMs and a CB as replacement with the other players that don't play out the door as well ideally.

In a perfect world I'd get rid of Kean, godfrey, Gomez, Ali, ins I'd go for lamptey speed, fast not the biggest but has to be better than what we have, I would of said Eric Dyer but he's going now where now, and I'd try and get Ben mee he's out of the side, more reliable than anyone else we have on the bench, midfield needs someone, Wharton seems a good lad who everyone has been talking about, can't imagine is getting any, but I'd think they would be cheap as 2 aren't starters and one a young lad in the championship, I'm only going on we don't have money so cheap and cheerful but in my opinion better than what we have, I will wait for the abuse lol.
