Hi Ed02. With this talk of Dyche maybe being replaced if and when we get this new owner. Do you think it's the right move? Considering our finances and the cost of another manager with higher wages etc could this cause another issue with PSR. It seems to me a bit like what Moshiri did, came in, changed the manager, that didn't work so he changed it again. My worry is it could cause more financial problems if the new manager doesn't bring instant success. Thanks Ed.

{Ed002's Note - It is simply advice from an advisor. For me I would give him time, but not too much.}

Managerial changes should only happen if the right man becomes available. For too long have we sacked someone without any idea who is going to replace him.
We sacked Silva too early and things could have been different if we hadn't.

Should never have sacked Martinez. Just supported him with a good defensive coach to help balance the team. Because going forward we were breathtaking.

So true ace. Was re watching some games not long ago particularly the Arsenal home game where we won 3-0. So close to champions league that year.

First time poster, been reading the page for a while. I’m optimistic for the new season. UTFT.

Never sacked Martinez are you joking, he has to be the worst manager I've ever seen, he only did what he did with Everton because of Moyes, they still had that mentality and with his gun ho style it worked, but only that season, look at him as a national manager southgate is better would you want him to manage Everton, no thanks, dyche to me servs what we need, stability, is he going to win us anything, I doubt it, but we've swapped and changed looking for that pot of hold and it's not worked, so let's not all get sucked into, we need a new manager every season to win stuff, we need a manager to come in and stay long term that's the only way we have dyche lete see what he can do with pressure off abit, some money, never no he may just suprise us,

Thanks Ed, I thi k he should be given some time myself. I'm not his biggest fan, but he's earnt his chance.
Both Martinez and Silva should have been given time, both were sacked too soon, hopefully it's a lesson learnt.

Can't agree martinez was sacked too soon. He rode the crest of a wave after moyes had gone on the defensive unit moyes built with the added addition of a 20 goal per season striker. Martinez is a terrible manager you only have to look what he hasn't done with Belgium and Portugal. Silva on the other hand I agree was sacked too soon.

Agree he was awful.

I get why many don’t rate Martinez but it’s a fact that he delivered the highest points total in the PL for an Everton manager, and before we say that was Moyes squad, I’d have to ask so why didn’t Moyes?

From the midfield up we were scintillating but at the back we were naive. That was our problem, but I can’t help thinking if he had someone strong who was defensive minded in the coaching staff to help balance the tactics out it may have been very different.

Football is about opinions of course, but we shouldn’t forget how good we were under him in that record breaking season for us.

Had a young John Stones and a mad defende in Mori. Now imagine if he had Tarks and Branthwaite instead.

Yes Toffee Ace but I reckon Moyes would have blitzed that points total if he'd have had a striker like Rom.
