Agree JB but he doesn’t have to go we can keep him for another season, we hold the cards with JB they don’t offer what we want, then we tell them where to go, the time is passing when we have to sell our best players these so called top six have had there day with cheap transfers.

Genuinely don’t see where Branthwaite fits in the United squad if they buy Yoro and De Ligt and already have Martinez, Varane and Maguire.
Also feel the way they are bidding for several centrebacks at once doesn’t make the individuals feel like they are the priority signing.
Hopefully Branthwaite stays for another season to see how the team develops, but also fully aware if a price the club are happy with comes in then we’ll sell him and whilst as fans that will be frustrating it’s the way the club should be operating - buying for low price then developing player and selling for a decent profit.
Hopefully after a few seasons of this we will then be in a place to hold onto our decent players.

Agree Ed but not bow down to Man Utd and accept buttons for him mate, these so called top teams have had their day.

Ed 025 you know any latest information on philagene from hull mate seen most stories flying round that we are getting him then Ipswich now aston villa have reactivated a buy back clause so any new information from yourself or any other eds be gratefull.

I'm not saying he's not worth 70 million, but the market has changed a bit and less teams are chucking huge sums about. If JB went for 55/ 60 and Dom went for 15/ 20, that'd be 70/ 80 million which is probably about right.

Ed just recently read an article which had Sean Dyche saying he’d been in constant contact with JB and he was happy at Everton and wasn’t pushing for a move. Went on to say how if he continues to develop he could get a very big team come in for him as the likes of city and real already keeping tabs on him.
Appreciate this could just be Sean saying what we want to hear but I feel there may be some truth in it as Sean doesn’t seem the type to make nonsense up and JB doesn’t seem the type to push for a move and genuinely don’t see the attraction of Utd in their current state.
Realise if the right sized bid comes in we’d sell him but can’t see that he’s pushing for the move.

Totally get the wage thing Brass.
However genuinely think Branthwaite can become one of the best centrebacks in the country and could have his pick of teams.
Dont believe United are anywhere near as good or as relevant as they used to be and can’t see them getting back to former glories for a good while yet.
Also if United recruit the defenders they’re in for he won’t be a regular starter - whereas with us he’s one of the first names on the team sheet.
Would love for him to have one more season with us to further develop and then move to a really top team - think United would be a poor move for him professionally but obviously not financially.
If he does go hope we get the fee we earner and would wish him all the best. I’m sure Thelwell will have a replacement in mind and he seems to be doing alright on the recruitment front now he’s allowed to do his job with no meddling owner.

I think Branthwaite will stay at least one more season before either going to Man City or a massive European club. if he continues his development he will have his pick and we will have our asking price.
As for Dom, I think he needs a new environment and wherever it is, I wish him well.
