Interesting reading all the players we are buying now are on a buy now pay later, is this to keep in the FFP rules.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is because the club has no money and nothing but huge debts.}

Agree4 Disagree0

Thanks Ed hopefully once the Freidkin group take over that will be a thing of the past mate.

{Ed002's Note - It is not quite that simple.}

Will it come down to selling players to still be able to bring bodies in Ed and do you think both Branthwaite and Onana will definitely leave.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer questions about who will definately leave but there is interest in Branthwaite.

Jarrad Branthwaite (CB) Everton want a new contract but Spurs, Manchester United and Newcastle have an interest. Ancelotti has spoken to Solari about him and scouts were sent to watch him against Newcastle, but Solari is not convinced that English players settle well on the continent. Manchester United will likely need a complete rebuild at CB with departures in the summer and so he will be a leading option but after two offers the clubs are a long way apart in valuation. Spurs have a need for a CB but have preferred options. Newcastle has a compelling need to add one or two younger CBs but a move there is very unlikely, particularly after adding Lloyd Kelly. A wildcard would be Manchester City but they don't see value for money.

Amadou Onana (DM/CB/CM) Only moved to Everton in 2022 but they are open to sell him buat the right price. With huge debts and the need to stay within PSR they need to be shreed in the transfer market.. West Ham interest has now gone again but Arsenal will look again after failing to agree alternatives. Newcastle spoke with Everton last summer and have failed to sign their primary DM/CM target but could return again this summer as they may need a replacement for Bruno Guimaraes. Manchester United had him a long way down their list of targets but failed to sign preferred options in the summer and he may still be of interest, but I rather doubt it. Chelsea interest has gone. Aston Villa are looking at options to replace Douglas Luiz and may well offer Leander Dendoncker and cash. That may suit Everton but they are already looking to a different option to replace Onana. Roma may offer an option but it would be subject to UEFA scrutiny. Barcelona may look to some horse trading but they have to deal with their own financial issues, but are keen. Real Madrid may look to a player plus cash deal, but he would largely be used as cover. Bayern Munich interest has gone after signing Palhinho. Everton will look to trying to raise £60M.}

Wow that was detailed info thanks for that Ed mate, surely if and when Freidkin takes over our finances will improve.

{Ed002's Note - Let's hope so - but the debts need to be addressed and that is not easy.}

Cheers Ed.

Just hope if/ when Friedkin takes us over we are run like a football club, buying appropriately scouted players that fit our needs and no longer getting run like a plaything where we buy overpriced has beens on a last payday as they’ve been recommended by a mate of the owner.

We need to recruit wisely, buy for decent prices improve players and then move on for a profit similar to how Brighton have being doing things.

Think with several years of that sort of transfer activity we can get back to somewhere close to being financially stable.

Recruitment so far this window appears to be moving in the right direction.

The right thing is being done said ages ago we need younger players in, so far there have been some good recruiting hope it continues eh Dan.

GB, we have only got 2 in with Ndiaye one that's going to threaten first 11 and a ex Arsenal youth team player who will go into our youth set up.

What looked like a promising window imo a couple of weeks ago with what we were linked with could quite easily turn into a disappointing one if expected we lose a couple of our key players and miss out on some decent young talent which we have and run risk of doing. Doubtful we do much business until a key member goes.

We’ll be fine once Onana and maybe DCL are sold, pleased what has come in early days yet mate.

Not sure how selling those two will improve us.
