What everyone thinking about kalvin Phillips there player in there if it was low fee I'd take it.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we get him on loan and get City to pay a portion of his wage yes. But should we be paying his suggested 150k a week? would hope not.

22 Jul 2024 17:58:14
Reckon he would do well for us, needs game time a good player in there somewhere.

22 Jul 2024 18:09:54
Wages are massive but if we can get a good deal, maybe loan at first then I’d say it’s worth it.

22 Jul 2024 18:32:09
He is a good player, obviously not at City standards but few are. If a good deal with wages etc then yeah I'd definitely go for him.

22 Jul 2024 19:39:24
There’s a player in there, let’s hope we can get him back to performing.

22 Jul 2024 20:44:24
I’m not a fan of his but if he comes in and can do a job then great. Didn’t he bomb at West Ham?

{Ed025's Note - he did BR but there is a good reason for that mate....it was because he is bloody crap and a liability, an egotistical lazy sod who thinks he is 10 times better than he really is....just my opinion of course..

22 Jul 2024 21:33:38
Ouch. What does Pep Guardiola know ay?
As others have said, it’s the wages that makes this one a hard one to see get over the line, but nothing surprises me anymore.

{Ed025's Note - if he was free and played for nothing i would still refuse him mate..

22 Jul 2024 21:51:14
If we could guarantee we’d get the Kalvin Phillips that was at Leeds and bossed their midfield then it would be a great signing.

However he hasn’t been seen for quite some time, comes to something when your own manager calls you fat, you flop on loan at West Ham and then have the audacity to argue with the paying fans.

Either way think Dyches gaffer day would kill him off.

22 Jul 2024 22:07:55
If we can get him fit and some confidence in him then decent loan signing but as already stated wages be a problem and unjustified.

Definitely got a bit too big for his boots (& his shirt so pep moaned at?) .

He has a point to prove which may work in our favour, of history says he is a liability on recent form, with our current plight and luck we need fighters and grafters not those that kalvin as Ed rightly states are lazy, error you can forgive, lack of effort no.

Oh ps what give for a few raw Seamus's now (just watched documentary ??- the guys a true legend and such a down to earth humble human being, 60k! - in any conversation of best premiership paid transfer of all time.

{Ed025's Note - nothing would give me greater pleasure than for him to prove me wrong Mocker, but i just cant see it myself mate..

23 Jul 2024 00:31:42
I'm with Ed025 on this, we have enough of that type of person already playing, or rather keeping the bench warm, so we don't need another. Of course before my wife and I got married her mother said the same thing about me and I proved her wrong, well according to me!

23 Jul 2024 00:34:17
Think if we’re talking loan, I would prefer the young lad from Chelsea.

23 Jul 2024 09:54:58
agree with Ed, think that City move has got to his head watching him at West Ham, lazy just going through the motions thinking he's above that level

if one man could give him the reality check however, it's Sean Dyche.
