Think DCL owes us. Barely played last 2 seasons while happily taking a wage we could only dream of making, now he wants more. Would rather he signed a deal with incentives.

Looks like Palace are after him mate.

It’s his job, Dev. He owes us nothing. When he’s fit, he does his best. If it’s time for him to move on, so be it.

I think he wants a new challenge. Maybe a decent payday. I'll be sorry to see him go!

We handled this guy with kid gloves, gave him time to return to fitness and form, dispite our bad situation in the spring, we gave him time, now he pays us back, by holding us to ransom, for a big pay rise, after picking up years of high pay with no contribution on the park. If that's who he is, get what we can, and don't let the door hit him on the ass on the way out.

Have we forgotten that all these players have agents who, let’s face it, love to see a contract with only 12 months left on it. Sure we are all going to have our views on the morals of this. But we aren’t surprised by this are we?

Lads give us 8 years and been played when he wasn't fit. Can't blame him for being injured.
If he wants to go then it should be a hand shake and wish him well.

Always flattered to deceive with us. Maybe a different club will bring out the best in Dom.
Take what we can and move on. Not like we're letting a prolific goal scorer go is it.

If we can get a decent replacement, let him go. He’s always had the ability and can find the back of the net but his dry spells are costing us. Can’t blame him for wanting a final payday deal but it’s not like we could afford it at the moment. Agent is probably stirring all this up and we don’t really know how DCL really views all of it.

Football fans are fickle! What exactly does he owe us? The club, more so two managers, could have ruined his career by getting him back on the pitch too early. FL and RB both used him when he probably should have been still recovering and it held him back. SD recognised this when he arrived and didn't rush him back, that helped him play more games last season than he had for a while.
There is no loyalty from players, especially those that have no real previous connection to the club, these days so why should dcl be any different? If he won't sign a new deal then try and flog him and then replace him. If he goes then it's with a tha ks for your service and good luck. He's played a part in keeping us in this division when we looked down and out, for that he should get a certain level of respect.

Maybe I'm being harsh.

I agree that it's a bit cheeky if he's asking for more than he's already on, BD. But on the other hand, the club has a lot to answer for due to the way his injuries were dealt with at that time. If he stays in the box and we get decent deliveries into him, I think he will be a big player for us again this season. We'll soon find out pal!
