I think it is fairly clear that people do not want Moyes back in charge and I have to say that I agree. However, if Dyche were to carry on this trajectory, would people take Moyes back to steady the ship and allow us the time to recruit the right man for the job?

Essentially, would people prefer to leave Dyche in charge or get Moyes back for just over half a season?

Think dyches team set up an subs frustrating for any everton fan mate if am honest but woudnt have moyes back in my opinion just hoping we can pick up 3 points against ipswich this saturday.

Leave Dyche in charge, I don't have a problem with Moyes and would have him back if that's what the new owners decided.

I would take Moyes back on an 18 month contract. Whatever people think of him, he almost broke into the top 4 on a shoestring budget.

Get him in, steady the ship and see what progress we make.

{Ed025's Note - i think you may be one of only a few WT, i think we need to move forward not back mate but its all about opinions i suppose..

Moyes undoubtedly is superior but its a false step. We need to change this media mocking narrative that noone in their right mind takes the EFC job. We are an attractive proposition to all managers except the top top elite few. We don't need anymore sticking plasters here. We've had 4 or 5 years of that. We need a steady dynamic attitude to moving forward. If that means some 30something unknown from Germany or an ex player starting out who's got some noise behind them, who knows. To keep hitting the old clichés is a foolish move. Someone needs to be in for the winter window who has the faith to execute the transfers and be a flag bearer for a new start. SD should not be trusted to spend a penny. And putting in derided managers with lots of unwelcome distractions isn't what we need. I'm not seeing the Potter show as some others but he'd be the sort of candidate we should be checking out. Young, relatively unproven and seemingly respected afar for what I don't know but hey. I'm fed up of hearing dogs of war etc. and embarrassing tag that's never sat well for me. School of science, now that's got a ring to it.

{Ed025's Note - thats spot on for me FBS..

Nice post FBS.

Christ if I read Moyes name once more I'll scream. Move on, new chapter, new heights, new dreams. Great post by the way FBS.

Good post fbs mate.

14 Oct 2024 14:03:30
Yes good post and I am in agreement for a younger and up to date manager. However we will not be the ones doing the picking and I suspect the new owners will want a known name, someone who has won trophies and who will be able to attract the better players. Time will tell, I just hope that we don't go down the same old path.

Moyes until end of season for me, then mourinho.

14 Oct 2024 15:03:14
Don't particularly want moyes back but I can see the merit in it. Anything has to be better than SD and his stubbornness, he's slitting his own throat with the way he sets his team up, subs etc. The only silver lining is that even if results pick up between now and the end of the season, he is still a dead man walking. I'd expect the new owners to want their own man in the job when the takeover is signed and sealed. So, I'm going to be as patient as I can be knowing that, come May, SD's time will be up and the revolution can begin!

Why would Moyes want to come back till the end of the season? Look I hate Dycheball but we have to think beyond the next few games. So if (and it's a big if) he keeps us safe, then leave him in place until the end of the season. Don't waste money in January and get the right man in place in advance of the new season. Give him time to decide who he wants, along with a decent budget.
And agree FBS I am sick of this dogs of war crap. We have to get back to our motto and our history. Moving into Bramley Moor is the perfect time to do it.

Give me Dyche over Motes and Mourinho. I am ok to ride the season out under Dyche as feel we will be safe albeit not pleasing on the eye to say the least

Don't want Moyes back in any capacity nor would I want Mourinho who is as bad as Dyche with his out dated tactics and poor man management, I really don't see any legs in him coming anyway if Friedkin sacking him and Jose skating him, hardly makes for a positive fresh start for us does it.

Nor am I overly keen on Potter as with what we have not sure he would do much better, tho with the same xodus of players in summer be a good reset for us as a club and for a potter or alike to stamp their vision and way forward, not sure potter be interested in us think holding out for England job or possibly Man Utd job, don't see many clubs trying to get him over last 18 months TBF which is something quite a gee labelled at Dyche when out of work gir a while.

No realistic targets jumping out at me, do like the Stuttgart manager as stated previously but be a lot better positioned clubs tracking him.

See Gary O'Neil or Julien lopetegei could get bullet soon, both been touted as possible replacements for Dyche on here last season, would take either? and Clearly if sacked due to doing poor recently so would they deserve another crack with a premiership club?

We might need to freshen up the squad cone January though, BB. We need full backs on both sides for a start. Results will dictate at the end of the day but, like I said earlier, the end is in sight for SD either way.

15 Oct 2024 17:13:45
Listen let's be honest here . all managers are crap until they win something. Utd are still chasing the Ferguson years. Klopps replacement is a big don't know. Chelsea is a revolving door . thers only Arsenal and City that have stayed with their first choices. so for us . who knows. Potter . Howe. or,? .

If we lose today, I’d take Moyes until Summer. That’s the only option I can see happening until new owners clear everything in summer.
