Just read that Graeme Sharp had stated he will never return to Goodison. how can that be allowed to happen when the emotional farewells take place at the end of the season?
Graeme was an integral part of the best period in our history and should be held in the same regard as the rest of the mid 80's squad that us older supporters remember.
Whatever happened under Moshiri shouldn't impact on Graemes' reputation amongst the Goodison faithful.
Hopefully fans who are lucky enough to be at Goodison regularly will either make a banner or start chanting for Sharpey to come home.

Hard one to call. He was part of that disasterous board butbwas he a sacrificial lamb.

Just remember the player and forget the dupe . . .
{Ed025's Note - great player for the club GD and i hope thats what he is remembered for mate, but if he decides he cant be part of the celebrations then i wont be shedding any tears, he went on to the board as "the voice of the supporters" and ended up kow-towing to the cretins who ran this club into the ground, so for me its thanks for your service as a great player...but dont let the door hit you on the arse on your way out Graeme..

Brilliant player for us as were many at that time, Everton was Everton then, so proud to have witnessed it.

Agree, will never forget that goal against the reds. Was behind the goal and it seemed to take an age to go in. For any of out younger supporters google it and watch a striker at the peak of his game.

brilliant player obviously, a lot before my time
should be remembered as that, but if he wants to spit his dummy out over fan reaction to him as a board member then so be it, he was part of the worst performing/ Highest paid board in the PL and more than once took issue with supporters who dared speak up against said board
whether that be the blue union before Moshiri and Sharp laughing at them for being against Kenwrights ways, or whether that him in the last days under Moshiri saying fans are taking everything too far
so be it IMO, got on the board and didn't hold EFC values once getting there, staying cosy with Bill and the others.

Ed, I can't disagree with you mate, it's just like has been mentioned above, the period in which he played and his contribution to it was mega memorable to me and you and lots more of us too.
{Ed025's Note - loved him as a player GD and right up there with Latchford and Royle for me mate, gave me one of my best footballing highlights at Rotterdam and that i will be eternally grateful for, the less said about the boardroom stunt the better i would say..

Oh for a Striker like him again.
{Ed025's Note - stuff of dreams that GB..

I’m not sure about the validity of a board member representing the fans. Sounds like a poisoned chalice to me.
You cannot slave for two masters as they say.

He chose to stay away from games around the time the phantom headlock took place which added to the ill feeling towards the fans.
He hasn’t been banned from matches he has made his own choice not to attend and continues to do that.
Shame he’s ruining his legacy as a player by trying to make out that it’s the fans fault he can’t attend matches - the only one preventing him from attending matches is himself and he needs to grow up rather than making a big deal about his own choice not to attend.
