Telling that the wins this season haven't lit up these pages. Is it because we dare not praise a guy we want gone? Nah it's because we played a woeful team that really shouldn't have got promoted (Leeds hang your heads for blowing it) and when 2 up we didn't give it a go to kill em. Every team would have gone for the 3rd so that they could make a few changes. Changes that should have given some of those that "don't have prem experience" a nice platform to get up to speed. You know? Like the winner mentality clubs do.

We didn’t get a third fourth or fifth goal because once again DCL could not hit a barn door at 5 paces let alone 10,our only hope for a more a consistent striker is for Broja once his injury has cleared up is to step up and start banging them in, at least till the window in January then it’s a priority once again that we bring one in.

I just like the idea of 3 points and a clean sheet atm .

20 Oct 2024 11:43:45
So do I mate but it could be soooooooo much better.

What's Broja going to do? Someone out for so long rarely comes back better. He was useless at Saints in a 442 and slightly less useless in a 433 at Chelsea with far superior ball players than we have.

Yes it's all about the points right now, because you can guarantee the way we play won't change. Broja playing up front on his own will make no difference.

I think that’s a little unfair. We continued to probe and created a few more chances that could, maybe should, have got us to 3 or 4 up. We also kept it tight and didn’t do anything daft. Some still having a pop at a 2-0 away win is baffling, but not unexpected.
Dom’s finishing must improve though.

FBs I completely agree. Ipswich were awful and we weren’t. Hence 2-0. Love it when we win for sure but I’m nowhere near convinced of any new dawns. They created just one shot on target I think and that was after they were 2-0 down.

But to be fair most were on here saying what we need points wise from the next four games and the three we had yesterday met expectations. I’m not naive to think that we can start climbing the table now to get us free from trouble. The fact remains that we have been circling the plug hole of relegation for the last few years and little has changed to stop that.

The managers tactics will ensure I never get carried away and quite honestly the football we play stinks like a vegetarians fart!

I just hope TFG replace ASAP.

Would love to get carried away with a win but FBS as usual hits it on the nose. Most championship clubs would beat Ipswich and I bet a few league ones too. Cannot believe TFG will be suckered into thinking him, his style, and our performance is what they want going forward.

I am with you JB spot on mate.

I'm not bothered if DCL scores another this season, as long as others do and we get 3 points per game. i can't think of any striker in the world that could score regularly in our team with this set up.

21 Oct 2024 09:51:18
Dear God have you not seen the 2 goals we've thrown away already this season, and you think he'd take off players and throw kids on to give them a chance to get some experience, that won't be happening while we are near the bottom, plus these teams that have the luxury of throwing kids on at the end are normally near the top of the league.

21 Oct 2024 12:57:23
To be fair, I think the idea was to not sit back but thoroughly kill them off with a few more goals and then bring on a few inexperienced ones. There is logic to that but we know the manager doesn’t really go for forward thinking - neither in tactics or even planning.
