Thing I can't understand is why we signed DYche in the first place.99% of fans on here wanted him and when yous were told he is a hoof ball possession killer who can't get a job in the championship yous all said so what you don't like all that passing nonsense and he is the only person for the job. Now yous can see what he is a Sunday pub manager who wouldn't get a job in kids football because football isn't played like that anymore. Even kids are taught to play football on the deck, he is playing Rugby tactics just boot it and run after it. Maybe we should have seen this coming before we sighed the bum. no point crying now when we were all told what he is like. Ten HAG we will never learn who will you say next Southgate ???.

Not as straightforward as that Dino.
Most of the fans accepted that it was a necessary evil in the circumstances. Point deductions and lack of funds meant that we needed someone who could work with those constraints.
I don't think that means he was everyone's first choice, all things being equal. Once the books are balanced, we will need a rethink. As much as I loathe the football, it was some achievement to keep us in the league last season.

Dino.
Dyche was the ideal candidate for that time. We didn't have a pot to piss in nor was they much interest in us with shambles going on.
Dyche isn't the right person to move the club forward now no.

Fireman Sean was I think ideal at the time, however the welcome mat is now threadbare and it shows to the point of embarrassment.
Me being one of the ''Yous'' I suppose, think not being able to get a job in the ''Championship''
is contentious, to say the least . . . as Everton FC was and still is in a predicament, and I while not being as full of foresight as the OP would still not bet on that .

99% apparently ok.

I didn't realise I was the only one who didn't want him.

He was the only person free who would take the job without it being a massive risk. We tried Lampard, we tried Banitez… neither worked. We needed stability and Dyche gave us that whilst we were in a total mess. Now we are a mess but not as bad as we were (Unless the Eds know something we don’t) so Dyche has done his job. Thank you Sean. Now it’s time to move on. Get the stadium finished, get someone who can set the team playing. Finish in middle of the table and build from there.
{Ed025's Note - i think thats just about spot on BR..
