It seems that Spuds have made a large amount of money available to sign a centre half in January.

What would be the odds on Branthwaite going there with Richy coming home as part of the deal?

I know people will say that we can't afford his wages but I can dream.

Poor guy would sit on the bench under Dyche.

Richy coming home yes please.

14 Nov 2024 10:19:54
I’d love to have Richy back. I agree though: that’s a bit of a pipe dream.

I think if we could have, we should have tried to bring Barkley back, but with Villa in the CL and money the way it is, that we never really could.

All I want for Christmas is this takeover finalised and for a half decent transfer kitty in Jan. Oh and the obvious change of manager.

Serious question, where would he play. We have seen in the past that he struggles as a loan striker, and until Dyche has gone that won’t change.

14 Nov 2024 11:31:10
On his favoured left-forward position if you ask me mate. That would give us the opportunity to move Ndiaye inside, where I think he would do more damage with his agility, quick feet and ability to drive at players.

The two of them would be easily interchangeable as well and would cause the opposition a lot of problems.

14 Nov 2024 11:48:23
Would take DCLs place, Richy is a far better player.

14 Nov 2024 11:48:57
Richarlison was great for us, but unfortunately he’s no longer that player and has suffered endless injuries and for that reason I wouldn’t want him coming back.

14 Nov 2024 14:26:50
have none of you noticed Richarlison has rarely played for Spurs?

the injury record is abysmal the last 18months, constant wanting back players from previous regimes

find the next richarlison.

why's it always got to be going back for things.

Spot on wblue2. Need to maximise our spending in the next window, not blow it all on the one player. Even though I loved the lad when he was here.

14 Nov 2024 17:19:01
I suppose it’s because when Richy played, we knew we had someone who could win a match for us.
His injuries have been mentioned by others, so yes, it’s been noticed.

Yeah I think there was a time when we signed him that he literally didn't have a break for over 2 seasons with Copa America games. Absolutely smashed himself. He is also struggling with recurring injuries and when fit he proved towards end of last season that once match fit he's a talent. Unfortunately Son seems to have kept him out and that's done damage to his reputation. He's still the main man for Brazil (not the class they once were but) I loved him and defended him from some detracting commentators on here. My favourite player since the 1980s by a mile. Never go back. Hope the lad finds a break with injury and shows what he's capable of whether at spuds or elsewhere. Ship has sailed for EFC.

Barkley can't step back in the city without security as he's a target for the local gangsters. As a talent I'd have had him bac in a heartbeat regardless of him putting himself first over the club and going on a free (didn't that upset the usual suspect) . Actually the most intelligent thing he ever did.

“It was an intense season with Everton, my team at the time. We were at risk of relegation. I was exhausted. I lost weight, and I could barely play an entire game. I had been injured in the Olympics, and I was injured again at the club. My body was asking me to stop.

“But it was simple: I had to help save the club. Everton do not belong in the Championship. Can you imagine? We had no choice. We had to stay up. To concentrate on helping the team, I did a two month fast on my cell phone. I completely turned off my apps and social media. I only used the alarm clock app to wake up in the morning.

“Before the match against Crystal Palace, I was destroyed. I knew this was going to be my last game of the season.

“I thought, We need to save ourselves now at Goodison Park, because the final round is against Arsenal away.

“I took some medicine and an injection and got down on my knees to pray. I refused to take a medical exam, because I knew that if I did it, they wouldn’t let me play. I had to sweat blood that day. When we scored the third goal, you can see that I had nothing left to give. I hit the ground with my head and said to the coach in tears: “I’m done”. It was my last breath, my last sacrifice, my last game as an Evertonian. A moment I will carry with me for the rest of my life, because I loved playing for this club.

“In the end, we stayed up. Where the club belongs. And I’m very proud of the sacrifice I made that year.

“Giving my best every day in every training session and every match — this is how I show love. It’s like my way of shouting, “Hey guys, thanks for following along and making a difference in my life. ”.

That lad is a legend. apart from Seamus I don't think any of the current team having that mentality. probably Pickford but that's it.
