My post below re Broja and good news didn't last long, now reading he will not be playing first team footy untill at least the 25/ 26 season as it's an Achilles injury, never rains but it pours.

Looks like yet another poor waste of a vital loan spot. Just hope the initial reports of us not having to pay his wages until he has played for us are true.

That's bad luck and I'd never wish that on anybody but. was a very odd loan. Not what was needed and a waste of a spot. The £30m thing was bizarre too, would have been madness. Sounded like he over did it beating those 4 cones.

Always looked a strange loan with him being initially ruled out until late October, we ain't in a position to waste vital loans spots and take chances, they have known about DCL injury record, lack of form and style of play, they know Beto hasn't cut in or settled then Chermiti injured, they should have sorted out a loaned striker early in the summer market making a absolute priority not leaving it and getting a injured player in even if the deal made financial sense, if he can't play we don't pay fair enough but rather had a fit striker option to challenge DCL and Beto.
Do season upon season with loans, either not utilising them to the maximum or getting players in to top up the squad oppose to challenging the starting 11, vinagre springs to mind too Poor.

Think this is a case of a misleading headline and a not reading the article properly.
It's essentially a click bate story from some random doctor, goodison news so basically says it all.
What is basically says is nothing to do with his actual injury timeline at all, just that in this doctor's opinion he won't be back to 100% until next season. A doctor who has no actual knowledge of the specific details of the injury at all.

Wether clickbait or not. Surely taking a striker that was ruled out first 10 weeks of the season and is now reported to not be 100% fit this season was a act of a well and truly desperate misguided set up. Can't think of another top flight club that would entertain such a deal.

Guess the point is that this article doesn't say anything new. If Broja comes in and scores 10 goals the It will have been a good deal, if he doesn't then let's judge it then.
We don't need to make up new things to be angry about there is enough actual issues to do that already.
