If we sell Branthwaite to Utd for 70m then we will have learned nothing. Everything about this is in our favour. We have him on a long contract, we don't need to sell and Utd are by all reports desperate to sign him.
So no buy now pay later, no instalments and no player exchanges. Tell them to pay up or move on.
It's time to grow a pair.

I still reckon he will stay myself.

as much as i don't want to see jarrad leave there will be plenty of interest in him in january but we are a club that's in decline are player recruitments have went tits up apart from indaye we have a current owner who has completely vanished and a manager who can only play one tactic and one tactic i don't want him to leave but to be fair i woudnt blame him either its going to take years to sort our club out top to bottom players on high wages need gone my personal view thelwell needs to be looked at cause my personal opinion i don't think he's done all that good and that includes dyche dyche has to go and there's rumours circling that dele is getting offered a new contract now fair play for lad speaking out and respect where its earned but football wise what has he done since he's been here and also whose idea is it to considering offering him a new deal find it bizarre.

Bet we wished we'd sold Holgate when big teams were sniffing around. Buying young players for a million quid and selling them on for 70 million isn't a terrible business model.

It is if that players worth a lot more.

If as it's been stated that our new owners expect all employees to be interviewed for their jobs, then why would you trust any of them with sales and purchases.
Simple, Branthwaite has a contract with us, has the potential to be one of the best centre halves in the Premiership and is English. Been stated that many clubs are interested in him, so stand your ground and get the maximum out of the situation.
Otherwise the lad stays, helps us maintain Premiership status and his price in the summer will rise again.

Defo don’t think anyone will go immediately after the takeover, all will be assessed I’m sure from Management, Team and even the tea lady.

they need to sell Branthwaite probably for one more balance of the books PSR wise

it's part and parcel of football

ideal world you keep Branthwaite for life, and maybe we could try if we were better

it's about how you spend it, which EFC haven't been able to do last few years/ haven't spent wisely

Branthwaite is the last real 'asset' the club have, when he goes they need 3 *good* players with the money.
