Just a quick one for the eds if they are able to shed any light.
I read an article the other day saying that Alan Myers is of the opinion that there is nothing stopping SD being sacked. There isn't, according to him, any threat to ffp etc. Do you know that to be true or is it just basically his own opinion? Does seem strange that we are playing some of the worst football in our history, along with terrible results, yet he's still there blaming everything and everyone bar himself, and yet he's still in the job.
Also, there's a text message of some description doing the rounds on social media. Obviously, these kind of things should be taken with a pinch of salt but, since this is a rumour site, I'll ask anyway! Basically, the message is from someone saying that SD and DCL had a massive go at each other after the Ipswich game and this hasn't been resolved. Patterson wants out as SD is always digging him out, surprisingly as the lad never gets a game. It goes on to say Thelwell wants SD gone too. Anyone heard anything as to this rumour and if it's just a blag?

{Ed001's Note - opinion. During a takeover, there are limitations on spending, which include blocking large 'extra-normal' pay-offs. That is done to stop owners being able to strip out cash reserves from a business etc after the prospective owner has looked over the books. Any sacking could require a lot of paperwork and agreements/contracts between the incoming owner and current one. Especially when it would be as expensive as it is in football, when the amounts are in the millions, maybe even tens of millions if there are a lot of staff that need to be paid off.}

Cheers ed001, much appreciated ?? results and form should have been enough to get him the boot so the info you've provided makes sense. Let's hope we get the new owners in pronto and get this mess resolved.

{Ed001's Note - I am surprised he doesn't know that, it comes up every time a club is bought out. Kind of thing a journalist should know, it only takes a modicum of research to find these things out, but I supposed that doesn't get you lots of clicks and reaction on social media if you give proper information.}

Exactly, Ed. If these journos can't get it right then what chance have us fans got!

{Ed001's Note - it is sad really, their job is meant to be to inform and report, instead they inflame passions in order to get clicks.}

I read an article by Myers on this and he actually said, allegedly, that it was possible the new owner and Moshiri could discuss making it happen as part of the takeover incorporating the cost of the sacking.

I had heard some weeks ago that Everton (Thelwell? ) had spoken with David Moyes to take over until the end of the season. This would be the least costly option as the only addition to the wages bill would be Moyes salary. Dyche would not have a big severance payment but would continue to receive his monthly salary until his contract ends.
Anyone heard anything similar?

BR, I'm not sure where the article was from in all honesty which is why I was asking. As I said, pinch of salt with everything these days, hard to get to the truth with that much crap out there mate.
AJ, I've heard his name being mentioned a few times as a potential replacement temporary or otherwise. All speculation I suppose mate.

For me all day long SD sacked if we lose to Wolves. Whichever way you cook it. Too much at stake for all parties. With tonights results that would put us firmly in bottom 3, with a s##t show of fixtures to come.

I actually think therefore SD will go for it and we’ll just about scrape the win somehow, but wouldn’t bet the house on it.

Failing all 3 points, said it on another thread Moyes in has to be our only option, not to just steady ship, but to save our club’s very existence. It’ll be a bitter pill but needs must. Progress can wait, prem survival trumps everything.

That last sentence seems to be repeated every year. Continue in that vein and as a club we will never move forward.
