What other entertainment business would people pay 100s of pounds to watch this cross week after week.
We are like a submissive puppy walking around with tail between legs.
I know it's arsenal - but seriously every other team in PL would show more ambition and have a go.
Can't wait for the end of Dyche - I want to see exciting football - win lose or draw.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Sobs, it ended up a great point but the manner in which it was won really disturbs me, do i really want my team with 11 men behind the ball for the entire match?, yes its a points business but its also about entertainment and i hope we are better than this mate..

I understand it when away to a title chasing team. I don't when either home or away against teams more at our level.

I can take a point against AFC in their own backyard all day long, no complaints on this, I can also live with set piece footy however it seems we have nothing to offer except a goalie and 10 full backs which is more than a tad worrying because if you want free kicks with potential and corners you have at least a modicum of offensive play.
Again, another big shout for Jordan.

Exciting football win or draw I am sure you mean. For me if it is a case of losing watching exciting football I would much rather watch dogs breath and not lose. It is a hard physical game not a seat at the opera. I remember some having a go at Martinez for his comments.

Seat at the Opera? Was that aimed at me?

No fly south - win lose or draw - I’d prefer that to let’s play for 0-0 and try and steal a goal - tell me which other team plays like this in PL - only us.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely Sobs, if our great expectation is to manage a draw then we will deserve to go down mate..

15 Dec 2024 16:40:24
I’d rather we play well, create lots of chances, score goals regularly and if it is a draw at full time then it is well earned. Prefer a win though.

Think we averagely only win around 9-12 games to finish above relegation zone. So far we have 3. Wish we had more.

Dfs, so you're happy to take points without having a shot on target every game? You must be the only one left that likes this style of football. I'd rather we have a manager that sets his teams up to have a go both defensively and offensively but this clown doesn't see football that way.

{Ed025's Note - spot on for me BP..

Something has got to give soon, ed25 I think mate. If a manager sets up his team to not get beat, grab a draw at best, then that team will rarely win. Never thought this was actually possible but this manager is worse than SA and that is worrying. I understand that were not going to witness exciting, attacking football every week, and a point at arsenal's ground is an achievement considering the difference in the two squads. But you've got to attack if you want to snatch a win so the no shots on target is more telling than taking a point for me. SD will get a few lucky results, I mean draws, but it's papering over the cracks. He needs to go asap, if only for my own sanity!

{Ed025's Note - you are singing to the converted BP mate..

15 Dec 2024 19:26:30
Sorry ed25, wouldn't wish my singing voice on anyone mate ?.

{Ed025's Note - i love to belt out a bit of "penny arcade" on the karaoke myself BP..

I don't like his style of football, not one bit, he is the worse manager at this Club in decades, he is an awful coach that blames everything but himself. I also would not come out with liking entertaining football even if we lose. Alardyce by the way had us 8th. Martinez had us playing football but some wanted him gone. Silva had us playing good stuff but he easn't good enough either. We won't get him but Thomas Frank would be the one for me.

That’s an interesting poll : who has been our worst manager?
- Walker
- Dyche
- Koeman
- Alladyce
- Lampard

Still think Walker tops the pile for me. Couldn’t win a game of snap.

Fair enough, dfs. I'm happy for a point at arsenal's gaff but not the way we went about it mate. No shots on target is criminal, it's just parking the bus and hoping for the best. If it wasn't for JP then we would be in serious trouble.
SD is one of the worst we've ever had without a doubt. It's been a challenging role for him to be fair but he knew what he was signing up for. With regards to SA, he may have got us 8th but it was a panic appointment in the first place. He should never have been here and I was glad he went as the football was nearly as bad as it is now. Silva was the correct decision imo, he started well enough but he was found out by the end. Martinez? Good going forward but defensively naive, he also had to go. I'd take Frank all day but I doubt he would come.

My issue bluepotato was the comment on taking a loss as long as we play entertaining football. That's akin to some of these 'oh we have no winners here merchants', it's the taking part that counts. Cobblers!
