Everton takeover on Wednesday - agenda:
1. Sack Dyche
2. Get DCL and Beto in room - tell them they are not wanted and to find new clubs
3. Patterson, Decoure - bye bye
4. Scouts - look for a striker, right back as a matter of urgency - a striker who scores goals this time
5. Get shot of all loan signings if possible
6. Figure out what is going on with O'Brien and get him playing.
7. Sort out why so few youth are coming through
8. Have a nice Christmas.

O'Brien is very very slow. Patterson we have seen nothing of. DCL under Ancelloti flourished. Ancelloti got him to stay in the area and brought in a supplier. The rest is about right.

Love our fans and unrealistic expectations.
Why you’d want to get rid of all loan signings which would include Mangala and Broja is a random one, as would be getting rid of both Patrerson and Beto who haven’t been given a chance by Dyche is another odd one.
Get the takeover done and bring proper football people in to run the club - the rest will take care of itself.

How do we know O’Brien is very very slow? Nobody has seen the lad, and when he did play preseason he scored two goals. Agree with the rest.

Those stats do suggest Beto is hopeless but they are misleading. Beto averages a goal every 180 minutes this season so 1 in 2 and every 314 minutes last season so 1 in 3.5 last season.
Dcl averaged 1 in 3.5 last season and 1 in 6.4 this season.

4 play patterson and young on the same flank

-We won't be getting a new manager anytime soon
- we will stay up reasonably comfortably with dyche
- yes the football will remain tosh
- we will have some surprise wins and some frustrating losses
The rebuild / renaisance you are all looking for won't happen until the summer.

Stats are one thing but every fan can see the truth regarding beto. He's crap at everything a forward needs to be good at. He needs to go and KT needs to be told that transfers like that will no longer be tolerated. If he keeps his job that is.

Beto 39 games ? absolute nonsense.
He’s had nowhere near that many games for us and even if he had there is absolutely no way he’s played more than 45 minutes in more than 10 of those games.
He’s been used sparsely by Dyche and hasn’t been given a decent chance to show us if he’s any good or not - if he was given a run of games and wasn’t scoring then may be able to judge him, however he hasn’t so for me it’s premature to call him poor.
Gives his all, oils far livelier than DCL and even has a better goal to minutes ratio than DCL.
{Ed001's Note - I had to check - he has played 39 times in the Prem for Everton, 48 times overall. But he has also only played 1,491 minutes in total, or the equivalent of around 16.5 full matches.}

Am not taking no sides but great opinions lads me personally i havnt seen beto get enough starting games but just my issue an ed 001 you might be able help me out mate why was jake obrien bought for the fee believe was 20-25 million but that money could of been invested elsewhere only for the lad not to play me personally i think it was a thelwell buy but dyche being dyche plays the same players week in week out when dcl can't score so beto does deserve a game and also when braithwaite was injured he persisted with micheal keane yet obrien was there and tarks has had few dodgy matches this season so just don't understand why obrien hasn't been brought in the starting 11.

GD, what is it that you actually see in beto? He's absolute garbage and us fans shouldn't have to watch him start or come on any longer. He's shown enough in his brief appearances to suggest he isn't good enough for this level. We need to cut our losses on him and move him on at the earliest opportunity.

Beto averages a goal every 2.5 games but hey he's not good enough for us because we are waiting for something that is not coming or we are better sticking with DCL. Baffles me why fans right players off Without giving them a real go in the team even though their stats are decent, yet want us to persist with a player with worse stats and no desire to be here.

I see a player who is desperate to play for us, when he comes on he gives his all, he’s unconventional, got a bit about him and is a nuisance to the opposition defence.
Contrast that with DCL who looks so disinterested and clearly wants out and is in the worst run of form - but actually has never been great for us in all the years he’s been with us.
Beto also this season has a better goals to minutes ratio than DCL.
I don’t feel he’s been given a decent chance to show us what he can do and don’t believe he can be judged on the sparse minutes he’s been given - if DCL can’t score in all the minutes he’s been given how can we expect Beto to be better in less minutes.
I’d much rather see Beto given a chance than persevering with DCL and then we can truly see if he’s as bad as some fans are making him out to be.

It is Dyches tactics, DCL spends most of the game with his back to goal. Do what Ancelloti did with him and we will see a different player. Dyche has no nounce.

GD, it's not the fans that are making him out to bad, he does a good enough job of that himself. His finishing is erratic at best, he doesn't seem to understand the offside rule, he runs down blind alleys with little awareness of where his team mates are to pass to, often losing the ball and his hold up play for a strong fella is poor. He doesn't need to be playing loads of minutes per game for any of us to see this, it's been more than noticeable in the time he's had on the pitch. The only positive I have seen from him is his willingness to run and works hard. Apart from that, he's not good enough for this level. Comparing his stats to dcl is pointless as dcl isn't fairing much better. Stats are deceiving and this kind of proves the point, if we want to move up the league after the takeover then he has to be shown the door as he isn't the man to lead our front line by a long shot.

Smit, so you think beto is the answer mate? On this one, the fans have it right imo.
Barkley, had to leave the city for the good of his career. He was on the ale quite a bit and making the wrong kind of enemies. To be fair, his career went off the rails after leaving us but I think the penny has dropped for him now.
Gordon, wanted out when the going got tough. Yes, he was lightweight. He spent an awful lot of time on the floor at the slightest touch. Had a good first season with Newcastle but he is liable to have his head turned if a big team comes in. We seen that with the Liverpool links in the summer. All of a sudden he's back to being a red. Right to sell him as we needed the cash too.
Robinson, he was never going to dislodge Baines from the LB spot was he? If I remember right, he didn't have long on his contract so it made sense to let him go. He also wanted first team football but that wasn't going to happen. He's done well to be fair to him.
Lookman, was never a team player and his attitude was extremely poor. On the pitch, he ignored instructions and did his own thing. Not just with us but he was the same in Germany too. He's another one whereas the penny seems to have dropped for him and he's now making the most of his career.
Digne, don't remember too many having a go at him tbh mate. Most were annoyed when Rafael got rid and we haven't really replaced him with any real quality. I was annoyed with him myself as it was obvious he only had to wait a week before the fat waiter was given his marching orders.
So, to summarise, beto is garbage ?.

Where are all the good quality strikers like vanpersie, Nistilroy, Bergkamp, Henry, Rooney, I could go on and on. Unfortunately there isn’t any good strikers anymore they all rubbish. Even Les Ferdinand Robbie Keane were far more talented than the strikers about today. Chris wood olly Watkins wouldn’t lace their boots both terrible players in a bad bad league. Bring back street football and get rid of flip flops.

I think the point people are trying to make re beto is that he hasn't had a clear run of games. Its difficult to adapt from a different league. He may very well be pap but i think its still inconclusive as he is afforded the luxury are several starts and full minutes. If he is still pap then, fine write him off. Meanwhile dcl who couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo is given game after game after game. Yeah yeah i know the service isn't great and he feeds off scraps but i can think of countless opportunities he has fluffed and facts are he is a poor very out of form and lacking in confidence player and a fresh statt would be ideal for us and him!

Witty, beto has had enough minutes for people to see he isn't good enough and that's the point others are trying to make. It's not anyone saying dcl is better, just that beto isn't good enough. We can argue Iver stats all day and night but the eyes see what they see when he's on the pitch. I think the only reason dcl is getting more game time is because he can hold the ball up much better than beto and that is what SD likes from his CF. It's all about opinions mate but I struggle to give beto the benefit of the doubt after watching him over the last year or so. I just hope we can claw back some of the cash we wasted on him.
