Hey Ed 025 where do you stand on keeping Dyche till the summer, see some on here want that and some want him gone, thinking if we get rid now may effect us in staying up, good results of late we can't argue and the game today was good and we very nearly nicked up it, and that would have been deserved, but I still want him gone as quick as possible just can't see us progressing further with him, over to you mate.
{Ed025's Note - i get what you are saying GB and its a difficult one, i still want him gone though as i dont think we have much of a future with him at the helm mate, my worry would be that we could lose stability by going for a new manager right away and depending on who it is it could be a massive gamble i feel, i would take things slowly at this stage and see how things go in the near future, results will obviously dictate things and if we slip into the relegation places then i think a new manager would be called for, thank god its not up to me though and hopefully TFG will have a contingency plan already in place..

It will be close either way mate, but who would have thought some will actually want him till the summer after all we have been through eh, I’ve said my bit but up to Freidkin now, and that is one massive Christmas present for me just having new owners been a long rough ride.

Currently we’re keeping clean sheets against teams with great attacking ability. For that he deserves credit! Does he stay for the season. Well it would be foolish to get on this form.
But he shouldn’t stay beyond that because this is his limit. We need to progress and that certainly won’t happen under Dyche.
I’ve said this over and over again. He created the very scenario in which he needs to save us from. That can’t continue. So sadly here we are again needing him to do what he does best.
Genuinely how long will we keep hold of branthwaite if we continue to struggle? And what type of players will we attract even with a better budget than of late?
To move forward we need to change the manager and his staff. TFG will act when it’s appropriate to do so.
{Ed025's Note - im with you all the way Ace..

The relegation zone is the thing that will dictate what happens in my opinion. Like Ed25 said, drop into there and we will be looking for someone who can keep us up until the summer. Wolves had a convenient bounce today. I just hope there are three worse performing teams so we don’t have to worry so much about bout Dyche and his drawing approach.
That bloke at Bournemouth has done well. Know it was mentioned previously that we should look at him in the summer; I’m starting to shift towards that idea. Main concern is Bournemouth didn’t look good when they came to Goodison despite them winning. I put that all down on our inept tactics from Dyche. Potter could do a job but his spell at Chelsea doesn’t fill me with confidence. If he can’t do well with a decent side like them, I worry if he can manage it with our lot. Not sure taking a punt on a championship manager is the way forward either. Didn’t Southampton and Ipswich take similar approaches over recent years and I’m not convinced they will stay up. Luckily, the Friedkin to decide and not me.

Very few actually 'want' him till summer (think that is the GB finding a shiny new penny, mentality shining through) , what we said is as ED picked up on; results will dictate. Of course TFG have plans, they own the Club, Moshiri had to answer elsewhere.

I want him gone by year end and a new manager in to start Jan. A couple of draws and a win and those who wanted him out are jumping the fence. Teams around us are picking up points, getting new managers, and we are nibbling at a point a time. I just hope TFG were not impressed by what they saw today otherwise God help us. The bigger picture is he just ain't good enough and they need to see it sooner rather than later.

The problem with SD Ed025 is that he is one dimensional. Yes we defend well but that only works well to a certain extent, one goal against us is enough if we can't score. SD will only use his type of player and his team will never change its tactics under him. Yes he may well keep us in the premiership this season but what about the future? We have limited funds available for this January and next summer, do we feel comfortable bringing in more SD type of players? We need to start building for the future immediately and SD is not the one to do it IMHO.
{Ed025's Note - i agree Mike i want him gone in the summer at the very latest mate, this anti-football cant go on for much longer but i want us to survive this season and he may just be able to achieve that, its all about results now and if we fall into those relegation places i want him gone asap..
23 Dec 2024 07:35:50
Hey ed02 summer might be too late for survival. If I'm in a shipwreck I want to be rescued.
{Ed025's Note - i get that Nick and thats why i said it will depend on results, yes i want change mate but what we dont need is out of the frying pan into the fire, if they have eyes on Moyes or Mourinho as is reported then im not sure that improves our chances if im honest, we want the right guy to spend money wisely and if that means biding our time then so be it, just my take of course..
23 Dec 2024 09:14:37
Moyes! OMG! Happy Christmas to all.
23 Dec 2024 09:34:14
I go along with that Ed, there are teams below us that are not going anywhere right now it seems, and us not losing to teams well above us in the league gives SD a certain degree of patience from TFG at their meetings I would have thought.
We can only guess at the timing of them pulling the trigger mate.
{Ed025's Note - thats right GD, i dont think there will be any knee jerk decisions at this moment mate and think TFG will play it by ear..
23 Dec 2024 10:55:01
Right guy to spend the money ed? Surely we have a DOF for that. Getting managers to buy players only results in huge turnover in playing staff each time a new manager comes. I thought the idea of a DOF was, he buys the players and, the coach works with what he's got, or have I got this wrong.
{Ed025's Note - but who is to say Thelwell is safe Nick?, his decisions have been quite hit and miss for me mate, as far as i know its a joint venture between the DOF and the manager which players we go for and what areas need strengthening so you never know it could be a total clear out, can you really see a manager like Mourinho letting someone like Thelwell tell him which players he needs?, (not that i want him in the slightest), we will just have to see what transpires my friend..
23 Dec 2024 13:30:42
Don’t want anyone who’s surnames start Mo.
{Ed025's Note - nor me NFM, unless we buy Salah of course.. :)
23 Dec 2024 16:20:47
TFG seem to take the view that Chong and Thelwell (football side) have steered the Club through choppy waters. Let's see how Thelwell is under relative stability.
23 Dec 2024 17:04:56
Well I turn 68 in the new year ed so hope TFG give me the best birthday gift of all, after health, wealth, 5'8" leggy brunette, McLaren (blue) , private box at BMD, wealth (have I said that already) , more wealth and a EPL title before I'm done.
{Ed025's Note - im 66 Nick and hoping for the same things mate...except im a gentleman...and prefer blondes of course.. :)
23 Dec 2024 18:03:16
Don't forget wealth Nick lol.
{Ed025's Note - love it GD..
23 Dec 2024 22:59:52
