I think the actions taken over the next few weeks will be incredibly important to the success or failure of our club in the coming years.
Some fans will be in the camp instant change, be that the manager or playing staff etc, whilst others may think it would be prudent to take a step back, assess the situation and then make changes in the summer.
I am intrigued to hear what peoples thoughts are on the best approach to take. Act now or wait until summer?
There are obviously pros and cons to both and I have my own thoughts but I always think it is beneficial to get another pair of eyes on a situation as there are some things you can dismiss unknowingly.
One thing I feel, is that it is easy to say "Let's just get to summer and go from there" but we shouldn't forget/ overlook that we have exactly half a season of football left to go. Looking at recent examples, an awful lot of change/ success can be achieved in that timeframe.

Waited a long time for this day mate and the news that Freidkin had finally bought Everton, now the hard work begins and it will take whatever it takes, would love Dyche out immediately and several players binned immediately but that’s not going to happen, it’s going to take time but at long last our Great Cub is moving forwards, exciting times ahead buddy.

We will probably go on a winning streak now and all the press will say how great a job he is doing and no way could we sack him. I want a winning streak just not with this arrogant igmorainice in charge.

We don’t need to get rid of loads of players. We need to strengthen certain positions, and long term focus on bringing the age profile of the team down.

Absolutely GB!
Personally, I would like to see Kevin backed in the market to make some much needed additions to the team, remedying the weakest aspects of the squad and strengthening us for the future, regardless of what happens to Dyche.
There is definitely scope for us to make 3 signings in Jan that can have a huge impact on our results on the pitch. With such glaring holes in a squad that is bereft of quality, it won't take much money to make improvements to it.
As much as we all want SD gone, I actually think making some smart signings takes priority over sorting the manager situation out. That being said, I would love us to pull the plug on him and get somebody in with fresh ideas. Whether that is somebody to steady the ship in an interim position or not.
Onwards an upwards GB. I think I speak for a lot of people on this site when I say, thank goodness for your unwavering positivity to get us through the dark times. We are far from out of the woods but at least the sky looks a little bluer mate!

We don't know what Dyche and his staff have discussed with TFG. My honest opinion is that Dyche will not keep us up based on his coaching skills. He needs Ipswich, Wolves and Leicester to be points behind us. By all accounts Freidkin is no mug.

As long as we can avoid relegation, we have a chance of a bright future GB.
Think our future was changed once Moshiri took over. The new stadium should make the difference going forward if what Ed01 says about financial changes for spending based on income happens. It gives us a platform to move forward but that could be a much longer journey if we drop out of the Premiership.
We need to survive this year in my opinion. If we can stay up and plan properly for the summer, things will happen quicker than more turmoil of a new manager that we will likely need to employ for 18 months who might not be the right fit as we employ out of desperation. Who would want to come to a club in a relegation scrap with potential of losing their job if we are relegated? It’s a very risky strategy and it’s landed us with Lampard and Dyche in the last two appointments with the likes of Alladyce in the past.
I just want to see us playing football again. Be able to watch the team and feel like when we have the ball, something will happen. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed watching us and I want my 6 year old to enjoy watching us play and not lose or defend all game. It’s meant to be fun and enjoyable to watch your team play and I want that feeling back.
I don’t know the right action BN but if we end up in the relegation zone, I can see changes happening. I just hope TFG are better prepared than Moshiri’s circus at making appointments. The appointment of Ranieri at Roma makes me believe they will knee jerk approach Moyes to stop the slump. He won’t just take 6 months.

It would be interesting to see whether dropping Dacoure, Harrison and Young/ Mykolenko for three better players, with the same tactics would see us winning games. We get nothing from our full backs in an attacking sense and Dacoure’s just shot now.

Yep that’s for sure I still reckon we will have a good window with some better players coming in mate.

I think if the manager TFG want is available then they have to go for it. If not then stick with Dyche until our position means he has to go with an interim coach.
In an ideal world the TFG will be talking to their top targets with a view to them taking the job as soon as both parties agree on.
TfG have seen what bringing back Ranieri has done as an interim to Roma so expect a Moyes or Southgate in if Dyche goes with us in the bottom 3.

Get rid yesterday imo mate. With him in charge nothing will change and we will have to endure all the sound bites before and after every game, he has an excuse for everything. I posted something the other day showing how many wins we have from each month of 2024 and it makes for depressing reading. If he hasn't been able to sort that out by now then he never will and we will end up in a relegation battle yet again but, this time, we may not survive it. If you don't score then you don't win games and we barely have a shot on target let alone put it in the net.
I like to be entertained when paying my money each year but that has been few and far between under sd. I don't like losing but I don't mind if every player comes off the pitch and they have at least put the work in uet that doesn't happen often these days. I will need committing if I have to watch more of us handing possession over to every team that comes to goodison, even the ones we probably should be beating.
I honestly don't know what this man has to do to get the boot, results over the last year have been atrocious, the style of play even worse. Our new owners need to bite the bullet and put him and his staff out of their misery pronto. We can't give him any cash this month to spend. Let's face it, even if it is KT bringing in new players, this clown will just leave them to rot on the bench as they aren't premier league ready. He really is a stubborn a-hole.
{Ed025's Note - spot on for me BP..

Good post BP. One change I would make is instead of "put him and his staff our of their misery" I would put "put him and his staff and all EVERTONIANS out of their misery".

I agree with most on here re dyche. In an ideal world absolutely get rid. Another typical everton contract. Insult to the club the moneh everton are paying him but this corresponds to whh we are such an abject club. No thanks to moyes you never go back but again it would be very everton!
I think the new board and would like to think that they will assess the club from top to bottom while keeping an eye on results. If results don't pick up then of course they will sack dyche before the end of the season but i think he will be here until the end of the season.
