Let me make this first point clear. I was in the Moyes out camp before he left us for United. It had ran it's course, a refresh was needed and tbh, I was bored of seeing us chuck games away from leads - Aston Villa at Goodison is burnt into my memory. That isn't even to mention the whole knife to a gunfight drivel.

I understand every single person that doesn't want Moyes back at the helm. That being said, if the right person is not readily available, then I would much rather Moyes be steering the ship than this absolute empty head, because if he stays, simply, I think we go down.

Moyes makes sense for a few reasons. He doesn't cost anything. He knows the club inside and out. He will give his absolute all, as he will want the job long term. Most importantly, he is a far better manager than the dinosaur we currently have.

His football may not be the prettiest for sure but at least he knows how to utilise the tools that he has and the ability to identify a clear and realistic style of play to ensure that points are put on the board.

I also think he will be able to quickly identify the areas of this side that need addressing more urgently than others, as let's face it, it all needs tearing up and starting again for the most part. He will get the right characters in to remedy the problems.

Prepared for pelters but I have taken my heart out of this and just want this utter fool gone and our PL status to be protected.

{Ed025's Note - i get what you are saying BN and if it was a case of Moyes or the clown we have now i would chose Moyes as the best of a bad bunch, i really hope we have better lined up though mate and if DM is appointed it would only be on a temporary basis..

You and me both Ed. I don't know about you mate but no one really springs to mind, given the situation that we are in.

Long term, I would love us to go after Michel at Gijon. They were like we are now before he took over the reins aka sh**e. He has worked wonders with them and plays a decent possession based style, using a 4-4-1-1/ 4-5-1. This wouldn't be too much of a drastic change for the players, other than obviously the part where they have to keep the ball!

I would genuinely take Gravy Tits over this fraud Ed!

Moyes would be negative step sidewards and not forwards. No Moyes.

{Ed025's Note - but if it came down to it Nick....Moyes on a temporary contract till the end of the season...or the dinosaur seeing the season out mate?..

Look Tony Pulis could do a better job than this fella doesn’t mean we should get him. Same for Moyes. Got to be trying a bit harder than that surely?

06 Jan 2025 17:21:31
But if we sack Dyche won’t we get done with breach of PSR rules again.

06 Jan 2025 17:29:27
Why? We can show them we have stopped wasting money on this clown.

06 Jan 2025 18:18:22
I understand what you are saying Nick and Woburn but it is purely circumstantial and for the short term. I just think he doesn't cost us money and he is better than SD and will know what we are after.

The likelihood of someone long term that will get fans excited being available and willing to come in Jan when we are battling relegation is just unrealistic.

06 Jan 2025 18:42:54
With you BN for the all the reasons you gave in your reply to Nick and Woburn. I'd only have him until the end of the season, especially if any preferred candidate won't be available until then. Gives TFG a bit of breathing space to appointment the right person. It's an appointment that they have to get right after the crazy tenure of fm.

Absolutely BP and if they get it wrong, it gets the takeover off to a horrible start that could have long lasting effects.

06 Jan 2025 19:49:32
Doesn’t cost us money? He’s not going to do this for nothing, will have all kinds of clauses going for keeping us up. How many times do we have to go down this road?
