If Moyes doesn't want to accept a short contract, that is totally his decision. Equally, if he doesn't understand and respect the reasons for it, then let us look elsewhere.
If he backs himself to do a good job, there is a likelihood that he will be offered an extension.
TFG seem good businessmen. I am sure they would be open to all sorts of conditions to the contract e. g. If Moyes keeps us up and has a certain win % or pts per game % and we don't offer him the job, he gets a higher pay off etc.
We need to move away from offering stupid contracts, as that is a huge reason why we are in the s*** we are in now. It is about time we start hiring managers/ players who show a clear desire to come to this club.

I don’t think any manager would want to accept a short term contract would they? I don’t think this will be the case anyway, it’s the fans that are asking for the short term contract. Same fans who were that desperate for Lampard to take charge they sprayed it all over Goodison. Look how that one turned out .

Same fans wanted Dyche now they want carsley or baines with big dunc as water boy. It doesn’t work.

Who's the solution Dino?

A manager who plays football mate and has something about them. My pick would be Thomas Frank It has been for a while now. of course he would leave Brentford they are a small club with a small stadium and they are punching above their weight if it wasn’t for Frank they wouldn’t be in the premier league. He deserves this opportunity and what an opportunity it is. We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves putting ourselves down we have a lot going for us we just need the right man. If I was Thomas Frank I would be loving it if Everton came knocking.

Look at Forrest Mocker if they can go from the bottom of the league to 3rd in one season with the same crap players then it’s not as bad at Everton as you think. We just need to stop signing dinosaur managers and mangers who used to play for Everton. It doesn’t work god knows we have tried that already it DOES NOT WORK. Get someone good the sky is the limit.
{Ed001's Note - Forest don't have 'crap players'. They have a very good squad. You really are ignorant and disrespectful.}
10 Jan 2025 12:13:26
Maybe I am but I disagree with you I don’t think Forest have a great squad I think they are bang average and if they can get to 3rd in the league with that squad then anything is possible. The standard in the league is very poor at the min. I know Liverpool fans won’t like that but that’s what I think if Forest can go from near bottom to 3rd in one season with that squad anyone can.
{Ed001's Note - whatever. You have no idea what you are talking about, you are a truly empty vessel.}

Forest have a cracking side, milenkovic is the best Cb in the league bar van dijk, murillo is very good. Aina is probably the best full back in the league right now. Gibbs white is an excellent player and they also have a world class manager that many felt wasn’t good enough for us, we are nowhere near that level turn it in.
{Ed001's Note - you forgot about Anderson, who was Newcastle's crown jewel and they must regret selling him. Excellent player.}

Thomas Frank is a great option but you are being extremely unrealistic to think that he would come in at this moment of the season. He has everything in place at Brentford to help him be a success. He is not going to risk jumping ship to us, given our position in the league and our in ability to make drastic changes to the side due to PSR and the fact that it is part way through a winter window.
Not sure if he will accept a short term contract but if he doesn't then we look elsewhere. If he wants an opportunity to manage a PL club, then the terms are there for him to accept. Like I said, put stipulations in the contract and try and come to an amicable agreement. If we can't, move on.
Forest already had decent players last season - Wood, Elanga, Hudson-Odoi, MGW, Aina and Murillo. They would all walk into our team. They strengthened well in the summer and brought in players in positions they needed. Milenkovic is a quality CB and imo is half of the best pairing in the league. Sels has been one of the best keepers in the league. Anderson would not have left Newcastle if it wasn't a PSR necessity. Again all the above would walk into our side. Pure delusion to think otherwise.

A comedian as well as being an Ed jack of all trades you are. Keep up the good work.

Too many to remember ed and Chris wood how didn't I mention him. To compare us lot to them is chalk and cheese, dino must have had a late night.
10 Jan 2025 14:55:20
Not here to argue with you guys I’ve obviously ruffled a few feathers already but Chris wood isn’t a top class player come on now don’t say I am a fool. He is doing well this season but before this season he has been awful. Played for about 10 different teams he is a journey man. How many goals did he score before this season not many 10 a season if even don’t get carried away when someone scores a few goals lads.
10 Jan 2025 16:58:41
Certainly not ruffled my feathers. It is a game of opinions.
I would snatch your hand off for a 10 goal a season striker.
In 4 seasons for Burnley he got 10, 10, 14 and 12. Not bad numbers for Burnley. He did well for Forest last year as well, not just this year. 14 and 12 so far this year. Out of 8 full seasons in the PL, he has only failed to hit double figures twice. Both at Newcastle when he was used sparingly.
DCL in comparison has hit double figures twice in 9 but I bet you think he is a top PL striker.
