I'm sorry but DM knew quite well he was getting the job weeks ago why on earth he has not studied any past games to see how we have been playing is just unacceptable, if he has been taking advice from baines and Coleman as to what team he should put out is also unacceptable and unprofessional, last night for me was so disappointing from the moment we saw the team sheet and it just put a damper on the whole night, he lost the crowd very early on and there was no way back, if he picks the same 3/ 4 players that we all know shouldn't ever play again he will be making a rod for his own back already, so much for the new manager bounce.

We could be dancing on the ceiling now if only DCL could hit the bloody barn door mate.

Look at the squad not a lot of choice. Not making excuses for the bloke but who else is he to listen to. He knows now who should be in, who should be out. Doucoure is a mystery, when fit he doesn't get dropped, Managers must see something we don't. Harrison should swap places with someone who gives a fook. DCL is robbing this Club blind. Sundays Team will be different.

What you on about?

Absolutely clueless the performance was million times better, should have been 1-1 as we had a clear penalty disallowed, made more chances in that game than we have all season, rarely hoofed it long and only conceded because of branthwaite and mykolneko not sure how any of that is moyes fault, some of our fans just enjoy being toxic.

It wasn't a million times better and no I'm not enjoying being toxic, it was a pathetic line up.

FBS just pointed out to Skylark Moyes had to listen to Baines and the Squad is threadbare with injuries. Get them back plus a RW and striker, we will be fine.
16 Jan 2025 16:57:09
Million times better? What were you watching? Yes we maybe should have had a pen, but they should have been three or four up before we created anything.
Same team, same tactic, same formation. Do that against Spurs and we will get spanked. And what the feck is this two sub goalkeeper thing?

Yeah shocked at the raised expectations of all these "knowledgeable posters" who all know the new man has been in for days and not a single new player. Somehow all justified jumping up and down like madmen that we didn't sweep Villa aside with ease. I thought we were well worthy of a point and I personally saw green shoots of change, only green shoots and only the change that could be possible in 72 hours. Honestly crazy comments on here last night. I understand they're from the unhappy with Moyes brigade but I saw enough of something to know the right path has been selected and with a few new faces, I expect us to be competitive for a change in most games going forward. DCL had 3 better than half chances, of course his confidence is lower than some on here and he fluffed em all though none of em were exactly easy though the final minute he should have hit the target. We definitely should have had a penalty for the Lindstrom push, I'm surprised not a single other poster has mentioned it and when I watched it again on MOTD I was even more certain it was a stone wall pen. I think we give Spurs a better go with another few days of training and Spurs are no. where near the organised outfit that Villa are. Think people want to smash DM with whatever stick and it's pathetic.

What has disappointed the fans is that prior to kick off they were all up for it and the fan zone was buzzing. Then the team got announced and you could feel the mood change.
People were not jumping up and down like madmen, they were frustrated by the team selection, as they knew this would not work. Yes Villa are a decent team, but their away form has been shocking, and we still allowed them most of the possession.
Agree we probably should have had a pen, but that doesn't mean we would have scored.
Put the same team out with the same tactic against Spurs and we will get hammered.
{Ed025's Note - lets just hope thats not the case Brass, Moyes must have seen that that team are just not up to getting the job done mate..

So was he meant to pull a few players out of his a$$? It was always going to be the usual faces.
What were people honestly expecting? That SD not only has poor tactics but also doesn't know what players to pick from our varied and deep squad and DM was going to make sweeping changes? Last night and the games we have pre any winter window signings will be more of the same just with a slightly (SLIGHTLY) more motivated game plan to score and create. We definitely created more and the game ended with 50-50 possession, another obvious change to SDs barely 30% if lucky possession stats. Against a very dangerous side. I'm not stupid enough to say we will beat spurs but they suit us much more than Villa.

Well said fbs the football was night and day to dyche but what do I know, I guess that possession stat speak for itself.
