Afternoon everyone. Just been contemplating the Moyes signing and what we can realistically hope for. To see us through the rest of the season, we need to keep up our good defensive record and score maybe 20 goals. Now maybe that's not realistic but surely 20 goals in 18 games is a lower than average return. I even checked and the average return last season in the prem was 3.28 goals per game, so 1.64 goals per team. That's 29.52 goals in 18 games.
But that got me thinking, who is actually going to score them. Let's just stick with 20 goals.
Say ndiye does well and gets 5 more, that's 15 left.
Then between douc, gana and mangala maybe 2, so 13 left.
Then defensive maybe 2 between them, so 11 left.
Let's go wild and say Dom will get 1, 10 left.
Lindstrom maybe 1, 9 left.
Beto maybe 2, 7 left.
Honestly I think the suggestion that all these players will score 13 between them is pushing it. But who is going to score the other 7 goals?
I just can't see where our goals are going to come from. Moyes has got a massive task on his hands.

We need to hope that that list includes some new attack minded playeres by the end of the month, Chris. We're desperately short at the moment.

When McNeil and Garner are back we have a chance at least for them to score or definitely supply balls in to key areas.
