How one or two say we played Dychey tactics on Wed is simply not true, no hoofball some good passing and generally better footy, reckon Davey was appraising the whole lot in match play and will have seen enough to bin half of em, and oh if it wasn't a bent ref that pen was a stone wall, I not having that we played Dyche tactics.

Kick off Ndiaye played the ball straight back to Pickford who launched it up the pitch towards DCL. ?‍♂️.

It's been a long time since I've agreed with everything you've said GB. Welcome to the light side.

It’s often easy to blame the ref GB, but you’re right it did seem like everything went Villa’s way. I agree too, we were trying to be more positive and had several chances (compared or Dyche’s Everton)

Agreed GB.

Ithought it was an improvement on what's been served up under SD. Got my fingers and toes crossed for some pace on the wings and a decent striker being added.

I’m still optimistic, that if we play like that for the rest of the season then we’ll be alright.

That first ball from Ndiaye to Jordan could have been for any number of reasons, one or two balls like that does not represent hoofball,
think we could even accuse the Villa goalie of that, I still maintain we were better against Villa with Davey than with Dyche the previous game, everyone at the Club needs to support David Moyes, my opinion as ever.

{Ed025's Note - i think 90% are behind him GB but its a 2 way street mate, he has to prove that we can play better football and get better results..

To me it was a game of 2 halves

First half very similar to Dyche in terms of only 40% possession at home, sitting back and letting Villa dictate, our only chances on the break which wasn't effective. Then they scored at the end of the half - another defensive mistake

Second half more of the possession but was that because Villa very comfortable when they are in front and weren't too worried about us. The crowd got behind us. A couple (only a couple) of chances but not taken or and didn't trouble the keeper. Harrison and Lindstrom did nothing again. No creativity from the midfield or full backs. DCL and Beto ineffective, Ndiaye a fairly quiet game. Substitutions late and made little difference, Not Moyes fault - its the team/ squad he's got

Some new manager bounce but nothing significant

Unlike GB I wasn't shouting and noooooooooing for Moyes NOT to come back. Anyone will struggle with this squad and its injuries. Early days but a glimmer (only a glimmer) of hope. We need to roar this side onto safety and worry about how to fix it next season.
