Chelsea refused to accept broja back. what a farce that was. Signed a badly injured guy and more so always I jured. 2 games for like 4 million pounds. No goals. no assists. No point.

Classic Everton. Why would Chelsea welcome paying his wage if they’re not contractually obligated to.

And we are still being linked with injured players. Is Thelwell having a go before he gets the boot?

Send Broja back to Chelsea, pay his wages and at least that opens up a spot for another PL loan. If Broja is injured don't we have insurance which covers injuries?
This is the type of question Ed002 would answer.

{Ed001's Note - his wages are covered by insurance while injured.}

Thanks Ed001. So they should do what I suggested. Can Chelsea refuse to take him back even if we pay his wages?

{Ed001's Note - yes, they can refuse. Though it would make little sense from their point of view to do so. The wages will be covered by insurance, it would make other teams wary of taking their players on loan in the future. Also, taking him back allows them to control his rehab and opens up a loan spot for them to send someone else out on loan that would benefit from a run of first team footie.}

EFC can send him back regardless if they agree to pay up the remainder of the loan (which is just under £2m)

Chelsea don't have to take him back regardless of insurance, it's another body in at Chelsea where it's not needed.

for a player who chelsea don't think has a future at the club, they know EFC will look after him so no problem leaving him here.

Most teams would want their own medical team looking after a long term injury, protect your investment.

Our medical room must be bursting at the seams right now!

JBtoffee, if said player was of future interest to the clubs personal gain probably

Broja is surplus at Chelsea, and he's at another PL club, so chelsea know he'll still be getting top level care regardless.
