Read that there’s only 6 games left at Goodison. 6! Hard to get my head around it. 6 games left at the place I spent every match day at for 15 years before moving away. For some, it’ll be many more games.
Thought an appropriate thread that everyone can contribute to is:
In all your years, what’s your best moment from the old lady?
I’m sure we’ve discussed it before but there’s no harm in a bit of nostalgia. Again.
Mine is Wimbledon ‘94. Barry Horne’s belter to pull us level having gone 2-0 down. Never seen the place like it. The feeling of belief that surged through the crowd still gives me shivers when I think about it. It helped us go on to win the game and stay up. Just.

Class post BR.
I want to hear from the older Gentleman amongst us as I bet they have some absolute corkers.
I am only in my 40's and my memories of Goodison only started after our success unfortunately hahah.
I think one that will always stick in my mind was the Radzinski bullet against Niemi to win the game when we were in serious need of a win. The Big Dunc header under the lights and even though we didn't win, the 4-3 against United.

Obvious one for me but you will find it hard to beat the Bayern Munich semi-final. Best atmosphere I've personally experienced at Goodison and the result was brilliant too.

"And by God we showed them that we can play a bit" Andy Gray post match interview.

My best would be the Alex Young header against Spurs to win the game and seal the title 62-63.

Too many, but Dave Hickson scoring against United with blood pouring from a head wound on 14th February 1953 is very appropriate today. Attendance at that game was 77,920. We won 2-1.
Players parading around the ground after winning the league in 1963.
I was at the first floodlight match I believe was the 9th October 1957 against Liverpool with almost 59,000 spectators.
Went to many games with my mate (from Ellergreen Technical commercial School in Norris Green) Neville Smith who went on to wright and act in "The Golden Vision". We went in the Boy's pen once, never saw Kenwright by the way, hell hole so we always went in the Gwladys Street end, you can imagine teenage old kids with over 70,000 spectators, we just managed to get out of matches still alive but would not have missed the experience for anything.
Going to miss the Old Lady.

Coventry last day of season was nerve shredding, but the relief and joy at the end was amazing.
Klinsmann dive through the centre circle and joining in with thousands of toffee singing and uniting against the Johnson era.

You must be an old timer also Glennk, I was at that game also, we went into first place and never lost it. The last home game that season was against Fulham and we won 4-1 with Ron Vernon getting a hat-trick.
{Ed025's Note - bloody hell it’s like “Coccoon” on here ?..

That was the first game my grandad took me to Glennk. Sat in lower bullens road. I was seven years old and he told me son watch him even when he hasn’t got the ball. Thus began my love affair with the golden vision and Everton football club.

Mine is when I took my sons mum she was a red, we played zenith in Europe and won 1-0. My fave as she was a red but sang on her own "your not singing any more to the away fans" when chill i think it was who scored. She was blue after that night. Never forget that.

My 1st game, against Norwich we scored 3 I think and sheedy got 1 of them at least maybe 86 87 season? More recent memories efc 7 Sunderland 1 absolutely tipped it down just got in for ko on time. The special thing for me is that going to games was a constant bond with my dad. He worked hard all week in the 80s but Saturdays was my time with him, will always treasure goodison for that reason alone, a truly special place in my heart and I will spill a good few tears come end of the season.
