I bet DCL is absolutely gutted that he didn't sign a contract when he was in the box seat. I'd release him in the summer and maybe then he'll realise that he isn't quite as sort after as he thinks.
Beto is probably not the long term answer but I'd keep him over Dom.

I think someone decent would take a punt on him if we let him go. I don't think he'll be too worried tbh.

DCL will do very nicely mate. Nice fat signing on fee will ease the pain i'm sure.

Who do you reckon JB?

he still will be sought after.

Strikers are hard to come by as we've seen in the past couple of windows. I reckon most of the teams in the bottom half, or a team in euroe that needs a bigger squad would have a punt, even if he's not their first choice striker. Brentford, Bournemouth, someone like that, have been desperate for a striker this season. Being someone's 2nd choice might suit him, more rest time.

Defo needs releasing, players like him have been a cancer in our club for years.

I’d like DCL to stay. He’s a good striker as he’s proven. Injuries have been an issue but in my opinion he’s been let down as we all have by the worse management recruitment we have seen.
We went from Carlo Ancelotti to Benitez, Lampard and Dyche. His decision to leave probably had a lot to do with that. Who’d blame him.
If he stayed under Moyes, he’d get us goals. If he turned round and said he left because the club couldn’t find a manager who could get the best out of him? I’m not sure how to argue against that.
So I’m not bitter if he leaves on a free, but it’ll be a shame none the less.
{Ed025's Note - im with you Ace..
